Upon reading the string of messages from all the various blogs on the Internet, I come to the following conclusions:

• Either an American who is trying to be “cute” writes the inflammatory statements that start each string of messages or a misguided, not-very-bright AMI writes the inflammatory statements.
• If a “cute” American starts a thread, it only tends to generate more animosity towards AMIs.  That is not a good thing.
• On the other hand, if a misguided AMI starts an inflammatory thread, it is very sad because it inflames Americans to become anti-AMI.  The American AMIs must work to quell these inflammatory statements.
• If American Muslims desire to become a mainstream religion in the United States, they must do more to support our Country.  If they do not support our Country, then it will be centuries before the majority of Americans will accept them.

These are my thoughts for improving the prevailing environment.

Anti-American Arab-Americans

I read a blog message one day from an Arab-American who was filled with vitriol against the United States.  I was flabbergasted to hear a fellow American speak so anti-American.  My letter of response to that man went as such:

Dear Sir:

I have read most of the public’s replies to your message and found them to be at least 99 percent against what you wrote and against you in particular.  I tried to read your message with a positive attitude to give you the benefit of the doubt, and I thought, perhaps, I might come to understand and agree with what you wrote.  These are my conclusions:

• Hate and Killing of the Innocent.  I agree that hate and killing innocent people are ineffective ways to create positive, constructive change…particularly change that benefits anyone.
• AJAs Condemned Japan.  Being an American of Japanese Ancestry (AJA) myself, I absolutely do not condone or support the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor that had occurred on December 7, 1941.  After the attack on Pearl Harbor, the AJAs generally neither supported nor condoned the Japanese from Japan for that despicable act.  We despised the thought that they had attacked and hurt our country…the USA.
• AJAs Staunchly Supported the United States.  In fact, we love our country (the USA) so much that all of the AJAs that joined the U.S. Armed Forces and, as American soldiers, fought the Germans.  Some of those soldiers were not even American citizens yet, but they served honorably as U.S. Army soldiers.  In fact, the greatest percentage of any group of battlefield dead and the numbers of medals won (including the Medal of Honor) were from the AJAs of the 100th Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat Team (RCT).  Would you do the same and serve in the U.S. Armed Services to fight Islamo-fascist terrorist evildoers?
• AJAs were Most Decorated Soldiers and Units in the U.S. Army.  These Japanese American units suffered an unprecedented casualty rate of 314 percent and received over 18,000 individual military decorations.  Many medal recipients received posthumous awards for bravery and courage in the field of battle.  Among the decorations received by the 100th/442nd soldiers were 1 Medal of Honor, 52 Distinguished Service Crosses, 560 Silver Stars, 28 Oak Leaf Clusters to the Silver Star, 4,000 Bronze Stars, 1,200 Oak Leaf Clusters to the Bronze Star, and perhaps most telling of the sacrifices made by these gallant soldiers, 9,486 Purple Hearts.  The 442nd Combat Infantry group emerged as the most decorated combat unit of its size in the history of the United States Army.  For its service in eight major campaigns in Italy and France, the 100th Battalion and 442nd RCT earned eight Presidential Unit Citations.
• Internment Camps.  The U.S. government cast most of the AJAs back in the States into internment or detention camps (I call them concentration camps) right here in the good ‘ol U.S. of A.  The politically correct term is “Relocation Centers.”  No other enemy nations, peoples, or religious sects were ever treated so disgracefully before, nor since, in the USA.  Yet, I love our country.
• AJAs Lost Everything.  Furthermore, the incarcerated AJAs in these internment/detention camps had all of their land, property, and personal belongings confiscated by the government and never returned.  To this day, the AJAs have never recovered their confiscated land, property, and personal belongings.  Yet, I love our country.
• Honorable Service in the USAF.  I served honorably for over eight years in the United States Air Force and would physically fight anyone who attempts to destroy this country.  This is because I love our country and am very proud to be an American citizen.
• Traitor John Walker.  Look at John Walker.  He claims to be an American, yet he joined the extremist, radical Muslims and then joined the Taliban in Afghanistan to fight against the USA.  He did that because he despises everything for which the United States stands.  Now, upon capture and being injured, he claims to be an American and desires American justice, sympathy, and leniency.  What is wrong with that picture anyway?  He is no more than a common traitor who deserves the consequences due to traitors.
• Immigrants Should Assimilate.  New American citizens need to assimilate into the American culture and shed their old religious habits and traditions.  They need to embrace the principle of freedom of religion.  They need to live and let live.  They need to treat women with respect, love, and understanding.
• Do Not Be Brainwashed.  They need to educate their masses to think for themselves, not brainwash them to hate and desire to kill or be-killed to ultimately live with Allah and 72 virgins.  That is fallacious thinking.  Anyone who wantonly kills will neither see nor live with Allah, God, or Heavenly Father.  Period!  That is a fact.  Period!  It will never happen.  The only one that wanton killers will see and live with is Satan, the Devil, or Lucifer.

Therefore, dear sir, we cannot bring about positive change if we go around with a “chip on our shoulder.”  We cannot bring happiness and freedom to our people if we hate, kill, call others stupid and gullible, or try to blame others for our shortcomings and errors.  We need to look inward.  We need to be introspective.  We need to change ourselves from within before we will ever change those around us.  If you will do this, I know people will listen to your words with respect and may even support your positions.  Until that happens, however, you are only fooling yourself.

Remember, when you point a finger at others, you have three fingers pointing right back at yourself.  Please consider these suggestions.  If you and all AMIs, including Palestinians, will do these things, others will view them with honor, respect, and love.  You could then become the greatest people on this earth.  However, it will only happen when all of you decide to join the world community and become an integral part of that community and not attempt to dominate the world.  Please consider these things.
