People Supporting Zimmerman Disgust Me.
I fought in Desert Storm, thinking I was defending the freedoms that the Constitution affords American citizens.
Now, I see people defending what George Zimmerman did to Trayvon Martin. Why? The Fifth Amendment states;
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation
And the fourteenth amendment states;
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Now, we see Zimmerman being afforded the right to due process, yet we have people saying that Trayvon Martin deserved to die…
No, what I see is a cop, or a cop wanna be. Zimmerman’s father was a lifelong govt employee (judge) and his mother is a lifelong govt employee (court clerk) and George wanted to be a cop (govt employee), even taking cop training, and going around carrying a loaded, concealed weapon, appointing himself as a watchmen.
I don’t care if Martin was a thug, which I don’t believe he was, he deserved due process, and Zimmerman took that away by murdering him. And people support him? Makes me angry that I served to defend the constitution, for people who only use the freedoms afforded by the constitution only when it supports their better interests.

I wonder if the guy would have like it better is Zimmerman let Trayton continue hitting him in the ground. I bet he would loved to see in the news how a private security officer decided to be killed instead of using his weapon.
Heck maybe the news would have mention how the security guy after letting himself get unconscious by a beating was shot in the head with his own weapon by an unknown suspect. That would be great for the writer. Wouldn’t it.
Someone is hitting you in the ground, you are in danger of your life, thus you have all the right to shoot. End of story.

Both of these statements are at the root of why your argument is flawed. First, because Trayvon WAS a thug is exactly why he is not here today. Second, Zimmerman did not murder him, he murdered himself by continuously pounding George with his fists and beating his head into concrete even though George cried for “Help” and a witness told Martin to stop.
Here is part of the official report by one witness:
“He witnessed a black male, wearing a dark colored ‘hoodie’ on top of a white or Hispanic male who was yelling for help. He elaborated by stating the black male was mounted on the white or Hispanic male and throwing punches ‘MMA (mixed martial arts) style.’ He stated he yelled out to the two individuals that he was going to call the police. He then heard a ‘pop.’ He stated that after hearing the ‘pop,’ he observed the person he had previously observed on top of the other person (the black male wearing the ‘hoodie’) laid out on the grass.”
Serino’s report described his review of the 911 calls: “In the background I could clearly hear a male’s voice yelling either ‘Help’ or ‘Help Me,’ fourteen (14) times in an approximately 38 second time span. This voice was determined to be that of George Zimmerman, who was apparently yelling for help as he was being battered by Trayvon Martin.”
Officer Jonathan Mead recognized Zimmerman as the neighborhood watch head. “Zimmerman appeared to have a broken and bloody nose and swelling of his face,” Mead said.
Another officer reported taking a photo of Zimmerman’s injuries with his personal phone. The documents released include a photo of Zimmerman with what appears to be blood coming from his nose.”
