7 Eyeliner Hacks Everyone Should Know

When it comes to a flawless makeup application, there is nothing more challenging than eyeliner. Not only do you have to make sure that your eyeliner is the right shape and size, but you are also tasked with making sure your two eyes match perfectly. Not to mention the tiny little brushes and unforgiving waterproof formulas that we have to work with. This can make application difficult for experts and beginners alike. If you are looking for a few ways to ease the process, here are seven eyeliner hacks that everyone should know.

1. Use an Angled Brush

If you are using a gel or liquid liner, an angled brush is the perfect tool for an easy application. If your liner doesn’t come with a brush, or if you find the included applicator difficult to use, swap it out for a brush with an angle. These are significantly easier to use when applying a gel or liquid liner and help you to get the application as close to your lash line as possible.

2. Start With a Pencil

Speaking of getting your liner as close to your lash line as possible, this is one of the biggest errors that you can make when applying eyeliner. When you don’t apply your eyeliner close enough to your lash line, you will see a noticeable gap that can make your liner look sloppy or incomplete. To avoid this, go in first with an eyeliner pencil and sweep it back and forth against your lash line.
