Miners with black lung call on Congress to protect their benefits

Last week, miners with black lung disease stood together in Charleston, West Virginia, to ask Congress to shore up black lung benefits in the upcoming budget reconciliation bill.

Duke Energy’s fossil-focused Carbon Plan misses its targets

Duke’s plan to cut carbon emissions is far too dependent on polluting fracked gas. It doesn’t capture the benefits of distributed renewables and energy efficiency or include tools that would help low-income ratepayers afford their bills. Be on the lookout for public comment opportunities!
