Massive California Corral Fire Tops 10,000 Acres as it's Fanned by 40 mph Winds (Video)
As fire crews work to contain the Corral Fire in San Joaquin County, PG&E’s outage map showed 2,280 customers without power near the area where the wildfire is raging, only 10 percent contained. Updates from PG&E show the power outages were fully resolved by 10:00 p.m. Pacific time.
The Corral Fire was report on Saturday, 1 June 2024, around 2:35 p.m. near the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory facility, Intitialy only 450-acres was involved but the fire has continued to grow, reported to be over 11,000-acres at midnight. Firefighters are actively battling the flames with only 13 percent of the fire currently contained. Two Alameda Co. firefighters suffered “minor to moderate burn injuries”, and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
