Why Do I Write About Psychic & The Occult
A State of Mind was created as journal of my adventure with psychic development. With time, it growth and today I write about psychic phenomena, paranormal investigations, Norse runes and magick & the occult. So many things that might look very unrelated, so why am I discussing all these subjects?

The answer is quite simple. Because they’re all the same thing. Well, let me explain this. Pay attention, please

Norse Runes are like sigils – symbols used in magick. Magick is part of the Occult sciences. Magick is based on our Will and energies. Psychic abilities are part of the Occult sciences and they’re too based on Will and energies. In some way, they’re magical practices, but in reality it’s all about terms only. Now paranormal investigations are related to ghosts, spirits and different hauntings, so they’re dealing with entities – magick and psychic phenomena is quite closely related here as well. All of this is falling under one word – Occult.
As you can see, everything in the field of the Occult correspond with something else. Runes – Sigils; magick – psychic abilities; hauntings – spiritism – evocation/invocation;
The Ultimate Goal
Some people practice Runic divination, some others dig deeper into Runic magick. Some prefer Chaos Magick, some Wicca. Some like to stick only with psychic development, others like to explore every single occult subject. Some prefer investigating the paranormal. The ultimate goal is quite simple – to understand the universe we live in better.
Learn how it works, how it works, and shape it as we like to truly live our life. Self-improvement and personal growth, in my eyes these are the two primary elements behind exploring the occult.
My Goal
My goal is quite simple. By publishing articles on different subjects, I:
- Present different points of views and correspondences between them, to help you understand how things work.
- Popularize knowledge and persuade you to explore the subjects on your own.
I’m doing this because in my eyes, exploring the occult, and self-improving yourself through this is a path for improving whole mankind. People who study the occult often understand things better, and they’re more kind towards others. Look at all these “love & peace” psychics and whole New Age movement.
Sure, they misinterpreted a lot of things, and that whole love thing is getting annoying from time to time, but they’re quite kind people. I’ve met a lot of people dealing with the occult, and I cannot say they would be evil and dangerous – quite the contrary. They were intelligent and helpful – as long as someone was willing to learn.
In my eyes, exploration of the occult subjects is part of our evolution, and everyone should at least try exploring the subject of the supernatural. And that’s also the reason why I write about so many topics (with more to come) – not everyone will like runes, so I write also about Tarot etc. I want everyone to find his or her own field of the occult to explore.
That’s why I’m calling ASoM your “gateway to supernatural”.
