Does Ancient Catholic Prophecy Suggest The End is Near?

Why didn’t the Vatican acknowledge the nation of Israel until the year of the Oslo Accords in 1993? In fulfillment of numerous Bible prophecies, Israel was rebirthed forty – five years prior to this official Vatican recognition. Why did this acknowledgement take over four decades to announce? What were the reigning Pope’s during that span of time waiting for?
Could the answer be summed up in the fact that Catholicism adheres to Replacement Theology? Catholic eschatology teaches that the Catholic Church, rather than Israel is the woman under persecution by Satan in Revelation 12. Pope John Paul ll, in his 1995 encyclical The Gospel of Life, stated that the Blessed Virgin Mary is the “woman clothed with the sun” in Revelation 12:1. Most prophecy experts point out that this speaks of the nation of Israel and not the Catholic Church.
This interview points out the numerous similarities between the Catholic Church and the prophetic descriptions written by the apostle John in chapter 17 of the book of Revelation. Many Bible prophecy experts, like Tom Horn, Cris Putnam, Mike Gendron, Dave Hunt, Jim Tetlow, Brad Myers, and me believe that John was describing a whore, or a harlot, which is synonymous with idolatry from a spiritual standpoint.

The Universal Church, including generic christianity, and Orthodox Jewry are two faces of the same creature. Neither profess nor practice scripture as it is written by the prophets. Both hide the names of Yahweh and Yahshua. Both deny the purpose of the Sabbath and pervert it to their own agenda. This is deception, more than delusion, and eons old.

One of the reasons is my study shows the “”FALSE PROPHET”"”"” of Revelations is non-other than the last Pope of the “”"Last Days”"”"”"”. We will have the antichrist and the Pope ruling the world in the coming years. That Pope could possibly be ”’Cardinal Peter Turkson”’
Catholic prophecy DOES NOT say that the “end” is near. It says instead that an age of peace is coming that will immediately follow a brief yet terrible period of turmoil, one that has already begun to develop.
With regard to the “lady clothed with the sun”, the New Testament says: “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. And being with child, she cried out in her travail and was in the anguish of delivery.” (APOC. 12:1-2)
This imagery, recorded by St. John the Divine in 96 A.D., was miraculously replicated in a grass-cloth tilma when the Blessed Virgin appeared at Guadalupe in 1531. How could all this have happened without Divine influence.
Do Protestants always mangle the meaning of Scripture just to suit their own prejudices? And why don’t they read from the Douay-Rheims version of the Bible, the most accurate extant translation of the Written Word?
Anonymous, the first thing to think about with the Virgin Mary and prayers to her; it is stated in the Bible that “Jesus is the Way, the Truth and Life, no man cometh to Father except through Him”… Not Mary, not the Disciples, not the Pope…etc etc. I cannot believe any scripture that puts anyone between or before Jesus and the Father. If you look at all the Catholic imagery, Jesus is always small and Mary is always large. It is Jesus that forgives and died on the cross not the Pope, how can a man that has never died for sins cleanse them from us? He is voted in by other men to his seat of authority just like the pharisee did back in Jesus’ day. Please consider reading the King James Version, just read it and let the Holy Ghost move you – if your heart is full of pride and hate then it doesn’t matter anyway but I pray you will humbly oblige this one request.
