Common sense would tell you they are from our galaxy for a number of reasons.
1) Plenty of planetary resources & different civilizations in our own galaxy to keep them busy. No need to leave this galaxy & take resources away from it to explore others.
2) Leaving this galaxy may result in the destruction of their fleets. This galaxy may consist of peaceful alliances, but it may not have always been that way. When you leave this galaxy it increases the chances of military conflict. Who knows how many klingon civilizations are out there that have conquered their own galaxy & would like nothing more than to make an example out of invaders.
3) The further away you get from our galaxy, the less likely help will reach you in time. Yes, spaceships do have mechanical problems & if they use wormholes for travel, you sure wouldn’t want to get stranded in another galaxy & have no idea where you are. I would think there would be some way to make sure they never wormhole out of the galaxy. Seems like that would be a good safety net.
4) Personally I think they do travel faster than the speed of light but not with wormholes. I think they bend space & time around the ship. thus, there would be a limitation how fast & how far they can practically travel. Seems logical within the galaxy would be practical, not outside.

- Second, this would be convincing had I not known first hand that the moon footage of the “astronauts” rummaging through old ruins was actually shot almost entirely in Yermo, California and surrounding area by engineering students I went to school with as a hoax. I am really surprised that this has made it’s way back around after almost 40 years. Apollo 20 indeed…….
