Assignment Update: Greater is He that is in Me…

I am in a place, that for the moment will remain an undisclosed location.  I am with a Native American War Chief and we are here because we want to see an artifact that is under the control of a certain Native American Tribe.

I’m sorry, I know it sounds dramatic and secretive, but I am not at liberty to discuss the mission further, at least at this point.  If so inclined, you may want to keep us in prayer and here’s why.

We drove from the airport, for about four hours yesterday and after settling in our Hotel we decided to get something to eat.  We had been traveling through vast areas of freshly sown fields of corn and other crops when the town we are staying in, for the next three days, suddenly appeared, it seemed, from nowhere!

We found a local restaurant that was across the street from a beautiful, pristine, freshwater lake and had some great food.  When we left we decided to check out the Lake and so we crossed the road and sat on comfortable bench, one of many that had been placed near the water’s edge.  The grounds were immaculate and there were several docks with boats moored next to them, as well as a jogging path near the water’s edge.

The War Chief, is a spirit filled Christian and throughout the day, as we travelled, we had discussed prophecy, and spiritual warfare, and of course our mission to the area.  I was in the middle of telling him about an incident which had happened a few months ago and how The Spirit of the Living God had brought me through it in victory, when the Chief’s face became troubled.

“Did you hear that?”  he asked.

“No, what are you talking about?

“I’ve been watching this teenager in the boat behind you, and as you were talking, he looked right over at us and said, L.A. we know who you are!”

I immediately turned and saw the teenager, who looked at me with an unnatural grin from ear to ear.

“Really?” I asked trying to process what had just happened.

The Chief nodded, “Really, he said in a very deep, grating voice, L.A. we know who you are.”

At this point we both got up and began to walk toward the boat and both of us began to pray out loud.  The moment we raised our voices in prayer and praise of Yashua/Jesus, the teenager covered his ears.  He looked tormented.  He jumped out of the back of the boat and began to walk as fast as he could away from us.  He then crossed the street, looking over his shoulder to see if we were following him.

We continued to pray and then we left the area stunned at what had just transpired.  As we were driving back to our hotel, we decided to go back and see if we could help him, so I turned the SUV around and we parked near the lake.

The teenager was back in the boat and didn’t see us as we approached him.  The Chief called out to him and when he saw us he jumped out of the boat again and began to move away from us.  At this point his voice became deep and raspy, as he began to speak in what I would call his twilight language, which is a form of demonic tongues.

I recognized this and rebuked it in Yashua’s/Jesus’ name.  He covered his ears again and made off along the water front.  Then he cried out as he began to try to cast the spirit of the living God out of us, at which point the Chief replied, “You can’t do that!”

He moved quickly and distanced himself from us as we continued to pray out loud.  We left the scene and discussed what had happened, giving praise and thanks for our protection, but also for the teenagers deliverance.

In closing the Update:  The enemy has his spies.  How did a teenager know who I was and call me out by name, unless he was under demonic influence?  Why did he cover his ears when we prayed?  Why did he try to curse us?  These are rhetorical questions which I know the answers too, but I am stating them to remind us that the battle is real.

The Chief and I are probing into things which have been, shall we say, covered up for centuries and the Fallen One does not want them brought to the light of day.

We got the victory because Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.  At the name of Yashua/Jesus every head shall bow an every knee shall bend.
