 The ouija (/ˈwiːdʒə/ WEE-jə), also known as a spirit board or talking board, is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0–9, the words “yes”, “no”, “hello” (occasionally), and “goodbye”, along with various symbols and graphics. It uses a planchette (small heart-shaped piece of wood or plastic) as a movable indicator to indicate the spirit’s message by spelling it out on the board during a séance.

Ouija moves due to the “ideomotor effect” (sometimes called “automatism”). The ideomotor effect refers to the involuntary and unconscious motor behavior of a person. The term “ideomotor action” was coined by William Carpenter in 1882 in his explanation for the movements of dowsing rods and pendulums by dowsers, table turning by spirit mediums and, of course, the movement of pointers on Ouija boards. WRONG!

THEIR EXPERIENCE EXPLAINED
One time we were playing it in college. It kept going from A to H over and over again fast. We couldn’t figure out what it was trying to tell us. Then all of a sudden we realized it was saying HA HA HA . Scared us to pieces. BOTH of us were surprised. I’m not a skeptic..but I was skeptical about it working then. Other things happened later with it..but I don’t want to tell them right now. I don’t recommend it to anyone. I think whether it works or not depends on if there is a spirit around to move it through you. Maybe spirits don’t like skeptics. – THE EVIL SPIRIT WAS LAUGHING AT THEM AND THEIR SKEPTICISM.

my mother used it when she was in her teens—asked the name of her husband —cracked up when it spelled k-l-o as her Polish friends laughed so much —-Polish for toilet —kloset—- possibly —quite possibly her friends did this on purpose. However years later she married my father and his surname started with a Klo….perhaps she felt compelled because of this revelation – THE EVIL SPIRITS DO NOT KNOW THE FUTURE. THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO KNOW IT. THEY HOWEVER, CAN MANIPULATE A PERSON’S LIFE TO FALL ACCORDING TO THEIR LIES.

I do believe in certain phenomena, but I had no success at all with the Ouija board. I tried several times with several people (and by myself) and nothing ever happened. That was my experience. – THE EVIL SPIRITS WERE NOT ALLOWED TO OPERATE THE BOARD.

Ok, I am a skeptic, but I also have a fascination with Ouija boards (that being said, I never plan on using one, since i am very suggestible and have a wild imagination). I know about the idiomotor effect, and how this is meant to explain why people “see” things they want to see during Ouija board sessions. I don’t reject this theory.  My only last query about Ouija boards is this; there are plenty of people who mess with these things and write about their experiences on the internet. I have done a bit of research and found that many people have come across an entity called “Zozo” when using the board. Is this a coincidence, or is there an explanation? – REMEMBER THE AUTHORITY LEVELS? GUESS WHICH KIND OF DEMON THIS IS?
