We crossed a line in this country several weeks ago and of course I’m speaking about the gay marriage issue. The Supreme Court voted for Gay Marriage and this passed by a vote of five to four. In short, five people decided to make gay marriage legal and now we are faced with the repercussions of their judicial fiat.
Kim Davis is in jail because she refused to issue marriage permits to gays. The judge threw her in jail and now she’s languishing there, as her lawyer appeals the judges actions.
This is just the tip of the iceberg in my opinion. What happens when a gay man or woman applies to be a youth leader at a church? What happens if a gay man or woman wants to teach Sunday school? See where this is going? Is there a war against Christianity in this country by the liberal left and our media? I would say yes to this and here’s why.
The planned parenthood abortion expose was dumbed down by sections of the media but the shooting of Cecil the Lion got lot’s of press. In fact the news cycle focused more on Cecil than the planned parenthood story. Bias anyone?
And people call me a conspiracist? Really? Are you kidding me? (I would posit that the overwhelming majority of Christians are pro-life.)
What should happen is every church within an hour drive of where Kim is being held should mobilize their people and march on the courthouse. That would send a wake up call to the judge and our government that the people are not going to led by the nose down this slippery slope of moral degradation. However, this most likely won’t happen and this is why our country has continued its moral decline. The church needs to stand up, as this is the first salvo by what can only be viewed as a tyrannical government that encroaches on our God-given right to uphold the tenants of our faith. As a Christian man and pastor, I believe marriage is between one man and one woman, period.
As Governor Mike Huckabee states in the video above, we have three separate branches of our government and what the Supreme court did by voting for gay marriage is nothing short of judicial tyranny. Their decision, contrary to what many believe, is not the law of the land, as it has not been passed by the three branches of our government. Huckabee cites the Supreme Court Dread Scott decision which declared Black people were not fully human. Then, President Lincoln ignored their decision and signed the emancipation proclamation!
In closing todays post. Our country is on a very slippery slope and perhaps it is more divided now than in any other time since our Civil War. The gay issue, the abortion issue, the ongoing racial tension, the 91 million people out of work, the 50 million people on food stamps, the still-porous souther border, the influx of illegal aliens in our country, the all to familiar weekly Chicago murder rate, and the TRILLIONS of dollars of our indebtedness are all factors that are making these, The Days of Chaos.
