Prophecy of the Vilna Gaon – Russian Ships – Isaiah 17

The conference went well and it was wonderful to see Pastor Caspar and Chief Joseph and Laralynn Riverwind again and especially meeting Pastor Bill Flynn whose two presentations were a wonderful, passionate biblical expose.  Special thanks to the Farster family and everyone who helped make the conference the success that it was.   We’re spending time in the field today and tomorrow and then head home.

I want’ to call your attention once again to the clip from the Russian drone over Damascus.  Is this a fulfillment of the Isaiah 17 prophecy?  There are some who state this prophecy was fulfilled centuries ago.  Others believe this prophecy has never been fulfilled.  I am of the later camp and now, with this latest footage, I’m beginning to wonder if this is it?  Coupled with this is the prophecy of the Vilna Gaon who states:

Russian troops are now in the Middle East.  While we don’t know how all of this will play out it would appear to me that we might be seeing the nascent formation of the Ezekiel 38 war.  Russia is proving to be no friend of Israel as Czar Vladimir stated he would help the Palestinians attain their homeland.  http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/vladimir-putin-says-russia-will-fight-for-the-right-of-palestinians-to-their-own-state-10141902.html Of course this is the same old lie that is told so often that most people begin to believe it.  I’ll state it here once again the there has never been a Palestinian people, they are Arabs and if anything they already have a homeland which is Jordan, as over 75 of Jordanians are Palestinian. The goal of the Arabs, HAMAS, Hezbollah, ISIS, and the Iranians and now it would appear the Russians, is to rid the Middle East of the Jewish presence, period.  Events are heating up in ways that I have never seen before.  In the meantime our news doesn’t tell or show the folks what is going on in Syria.  Please watch the clip below of what the city of Damascus looks like.  These are the Days of Chaos!

When I look at the startling footage above I am taken aback as it appears that there is not much left of the city of Damascus.  Recently someone told me that we shouldn’t base our interpretation of the Biblical Prophetic Narrative on the news?  Really?  Then what are we to base the possible fulfillment of the Biblical Prophetic Narrative on?  News is important, and without it we wouldn’t know what was happening on a global scale.  Think about it.  Israel became a nation and in my opinion that fulfills prophecy.  We know about it because this was big news when it happens.  Similarly, when we examine the footage above it seems to show, in graphic ways, that Damascus, or at least a good portion of it has become a ruinous heap.  Does this fulfill the Isaiah 17 prophecy?  I don’t know and as of this writing I’m not willing to put a check mark by that prophecy as being fulfilled, but I do find it more than interesting especially now that the Rooskies under the leadership of Car Vladimir Putin are now in Syria.  These are truly unprecedented times!
