It is the Catholic Church that compiled and published the first Bible. The Bible is a Catholic book. There was no Bible for about the 350 years after Christ’s death and then another 1090 years before the printing press was invented. How could one save their soul if it was dependent on the Bible alone? Why didn’t Jesus wait for the printing press or have it invented in His time?

So how many times are people said to magnify, to exalt or to glorify God in the Bible, Trent? Your reasoning is a dead-end street and it has you artificially importing doctrine into the Scriptures. But here’s something you cannot deny – the Scriptures teach that everything must be confirmed in the mouth of two or three witnesses. So what is your second witness for the non-scriptural notion of anyone praying to or through Mary? Because Luke certainly never said it. And no one else in the Bible said it either. Men moved as they were inspired by the Spirit when they wrote the Word, but there is nothing written by any of them which even remotely supports your anti-scriptural suggestions.

This is terrible reasoning, Trent. Stop ignoring my point and trying to substitute something else. WHERE is it written that someone who is a magnifier of God or an exalter of God is someone we should pray to or through? Where is it written? It is written ONLY in the teaching of the Roman Church. It is nowhere written in the Word of God. That should cause you to show Rome your back, Trent.

We are made wise unto salvation through the Scriptures. God has said in many places throughout the Bible that His Instructions are neither to be added to nor to be diminished. He has spoken and He has spoken with authority. A man can either be a believer of the Word of God, as His Word appears in the Scriptures; or a man can be a believer in the teachings of Rome. A man cannot be both. We can choose the Word of God or we can choose the word of men. The lies of Rome can be tested by us; more so in this generation than in any other. Consider the importance of that fact. Apostolic succession is a provable lie, Trent. A provable lie. So too with the other lies Rome tells. We need only the Word of God and we need only to show our backs to the traditions of men:

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

He did indeed. And then someone came along and pretended to be that church. And they did so in brazen and outright contradiction of the very NATURE of the Sacrifice of Christ:

But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, He sat down at the right hand of God…

…so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for Him.

ONE sacrifice, Trent. Not thousands each and every day. Not some bloodless transubstantiation on an altar cut with tools (yet another violation of His Word). ROME teaches that the Sacrifice of our KING was insufficient and must be repeated over and over. ROME teaches that the Catholic faithful will die unless their souls are re-nourished with body and blood once every week. GOD TEACHES that His Son came to die ONCE FOR ALL; and that His perfect Sacrifice was not weak or lacking ANY.

God teaches one thing. Rome teaches another. That’s why Rome DEMANDS that they alone must be permitted to interpret Scripture FOR YOU. Otherwise, there would be no way for Rome to get anyone to believe their lies over the direct and plainly-worded instructions of God.

You quoted from John 16:12-13. But you cannot quote even a single verse which comes out and says what you are suggesting. The doctrines of Rome are NOT in Scripture.

So what? The Old Testament already existed in the Hebrew Tanakh. And the Greek Manuscripts of the New Testament just hadn’t been gathered together into one volume before Rome did exactly that. But what else did Rome do? Rome made it a CRIME punishable by DEATH for anyone but the ordained priest-class to actually possess copies of the Bible, in whole or in part. Don’t bother disputing that, Trent. Just go and gather the facts for yourself.

I reject that slander of the Bible. The Bible is the Word of GOD. And God calls Rome a smoke in His nose.

God has spoken and He has spoken with authority. You will either believe Him or you will believe the men who dress up in costumes and tell you they know better than God Himself.

It is terrible reasoning to automatically perceive an insult to Mary whenever anyone disagrees with Catholic doctrine. At the very least, you should admit the fact that nothing in Scripture gives rise to such doctrines and you should recognize that those who subscribe to Sola Scriptura — as I most certainly do – are taking their cues from the written Word. In almost all cases, that would eliminate any need for your charge that any of us seek to impugn she who Scripture said is ‘blessed among women.’

This verse says NOTHING about Mary being any mediatrix, Trent. ANY argument to the contrary is specious and relies completely on superimposing ideas over plainly-worded verses which DO NOT otherwise appear in the verse. Your habit is to keep pointing to these verses which say NOTHING of the sort you pretend they say. God doesn’t have a problem making Himself understood and speaking in perfectly clear language. How many times did He instruct us to observe the Sabbath on the Seventh Day? He says a thing and then He repeats that thing, and He does so in perfectly clear language. We don’t have to go inserting ideas into His verses of Scripture to learn His intended meaning any more than we are left guessing at what He might have meant.

That is exactly so. And you will find MANY verses in Scripture which say that in perfectly clear language. There are MANY verses you could point to in support of that statement. But if you were doing that alone, you and I would be having a very different conversation.

Only in Catholic doctrine. There is NOTHING in Scripture to support that contention. Nowhere in Scripture is Mary EVER described in terms which would support such concepts. Mary is in Paradise awaiting her resurrection. And Paradise is not in Heaven. THIS is what Scripture teaches.

And again, your quoting John 6: 51-52 does absolutely nothing to support Roman sacrifice. The Scriptures say ONCE. Rome says ad nauseam. The Scriptures say Messiah’s Sacrifice was all-sufficient. Rome says it wasn’t. Rome has interpreted Messiah’s instructions about eating and drinking His body and blood in an absolutely preposterous and erroneous fashion, which CANNOT be correct because it brazenly contradicts much of what Messiah has said elsewhere. Rome’s interpretation can in NO WAY be the correct interpretation, and this is a fact for which there is zero margin for error.

That is an outright distortion of reality, Trent. The Roman mass has no benefit whatsoever for anyone. The Roman mass is idolatry – and God has spoken about it in Scripture. What do you think He meant by ‘your bread for your souls.’ What do you think He was accusing when described and indicted the consumers and the purveyors of that bread?

No Trent. We live in a world with rectilinear time, so that statement is false on its face. Messiah sacrificed Himself ONCE and then said: IT IS FINISHED. He said nothing, at any time, about an ongoing reiteration of His sacrifice. The Word of God eliminates any such possibility.

The Word of God is inimical to ALL of Catholicism, friend – not only to modern progressivist Catholicism.

Read the Scriptures one time without imposing Catholic doctrine upon the words as they sit plainly on the page and you may see that Rome has no rightful claim to that Book at all.
