'Space Pearl Harbour' USA On Alert – China Space Station Attack Would Plunge US into CHAOS
CHINA’S next space project has put Pentagon officials on alert as China’s future space station could wipe out every US satellite and plunge the country into chaos.
The US is heading towards a “Pearl Harbour in space” according to leading Pentagon officials over fears of China’s military might. China stunned the world this month when its Chang’e-4 lunar lander touched down on the far side of the moon for the first time in human history.
But, US security officials are increasingly concerned about China’s next steps in space amid fears of a catastrophic conflict. China’s lunar landing is just the first step in the country’s ambition to become a leader in space exploration.
Chinese scientists have previously declared China’s ambitions to establish a manned moon base and to send nuclear-powered rockets into space. The country is currently preparing to launch its very own space station, named the Harmony of the Heavens, by 2020.
The station, controlled through a Beijing aerospace command centre, would be able to “destroy or disable all commercial and communication satellites”. This would put US electric power in danger – potentially wiping out phones and TVs across the country, according to RT. The Chinese would have the means to knock out the satellites that the US military depends on, for gathering intel to guiding precision missiles and drones.
