I’m guessing many of the prophets mentioned in the bible were likely under the influence of psychedelics. That doesn’t necessarily detract from what they saw. But as any clairvoyant, psychic, witch, or anyone worth their salt gifted with foresight and prophetic abilities will tell you; the future isn’t set in stone. What they see is essentially the most likely outcome provided events continue at the trajectory they were one when the vision was received. We always have the option to change the road we’re on. Also….here’s a secret; become well versed in history. It may not repeat, but it rhymes, as the saying goes. Also, never underestimate the power of ‘self-fulfilling prophecies’. I suspect much of the apocalyptic prophecies spoken of in the bible fall under that category, and the more people that buy into believing that those events are inevitable, the more likely our timeline is to take that course. The Creator God does not give out his Word on a whim or the toss of the dice. No mam! It is true, it is sound and it is unmovable He will make it come to pass. Maybe the god of the above mentioned soothsayers depend a the “father of lies”to provide them with information, but I would say so how’s that working out for you! History is His Story, it is written in the bible.
Sorry, but your beliefs….and that’s exactly what they are; BELIFEFS, not facts, do not have a monopoly on what amounts to foresight or intuition. Concerning ‘divinely inspired’ viewpoints; you’re assuming Christianity is the only relevant equation in the matter. A large portion of the world who ascribe to other belief systems and spirituality also hold their BELIEFS to be sacrosanct and inviolable. Quoting your bible passages does nothing to prove your point, and frankly it’s quite arrogant for you to believe your viewpoints are the only path to salvation. Maybe God in his/her infinite wisdom provided multiple paths for us to commune with him/her…..(in order for ‘God’ to truly encompass all of creation, IT would almost have to be androgynous in nature).
