I don’t know how many people would guess what type of information would be put out about our moon landing.
As the first country to ‘land on the moon’, you’d think it would be enough to I don’t know, fill the page of a blog.

Keep in mind, we were the first….we learned about Christopher Columbus, and we get a blurb about the moon, and of course they stop funding it after a few trips, You’d think there’d be a moon shot to other planets further in the galaxy, but all we send are probes and unmanned crafts.
and look how many days it took to go round trip. I’m sure a physicist student with their complex mathematical equations could determine how fast the travel was, and 21 hrs down time on the moon, no sleep (I’m assuming) and then off we go to come back in “how many days?”

Half of Apollo’s primary goal-a safe return-was achieved at 4:17 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on July 20, when Armstrong piloted the “Eagle” to a touchdown on the Moon, with less than 30 seconds’ worth of fuel left in the lunar module. Six hours later, Armstrong took his famous “one giant leap for mankind.” Aldrin joined him, and the two spent two-and-a-half hours drilling core samples, photographing what they saw and collecting rocks. After more than 21 hours on the lunar surface, they returned to Collins on board “Columbia,” bringing 20.87 kilograms of lunar samples with them. The two Moon-walkers had left behind scientific instruments, an American flag and other mementos, including a plaque bearing the inscription: “Here Men From Planet Earth First Set Foot Upon the Moon. July 1969 A.D. We Came in Peace For All Mankind.”
4 days to get there, spent 21 hrs on the moon, and was back in 3 days.
Apollo 13 was an 8 day mission due to problems with oxygen, so it was at some distance close to earth, went to the moon to sling shot around it, and then came back in 4 days.
Miles to Kilometeres, earth is 405696 kilometers from the moon, and Apollo 13 had some issue “Within 321,860 kilometers of Earth” – wonder why they put it that way, hugh, why not put the kilometers from the moon since they were supposedly almost there?
