I read the book of Enoch many years ago. The bible had MANY books removed from it. Apparently it originally had 777 books, now it only has 66. The book of Enoch was removed from the scriptures by the roman catholic church because it explains a few important subjects. It talks about the watchers (fallen angels) that were cast down to earth and they found women on earth attractive so they married them (married meaning had sex) with women on earth and that created the Nephilim (giants).
The women who birthed these giants were turned into the sirens we hear of in folklore. Our Creator did this because having sex with angels or a different kind than your own kind is one of the worst kinds of abomination one can do. Another subject the book of Enoch deals with is how the earth, sun and moon work. They wanted the people to believe in the heliocentric model of earth so this book had to be removed because it goes against that.
Enoch appears in the Book of Genesis of the Hebrew Bible and is a figure in the Generations of Adam. Enoch is the son of Jared, the father of Methuselah, and the great-grandfather of Noah. Enoch lived 365 years before he was taken by God, which is a small amount of time compared to his offspring Methuselah, who lived to be 969 years old. The text reads that Enoch “walked with God: and he was no more; for God took him”. This Enoch is not to be confused with Cain’s son Enoch.
