A Layman's Take on Racism

I’ve been on this planet 61 years, mostly in America (with short stints in Australia, Mexico & the Bahamas. Most of it was in SoCal (lollipop land) …. Born in ‘59, I remember all the adults in tears in the fall of ‘63 (not really, because I was still a wee lade), but it was my 1st emotionally significant recall…. The big people were all crying, they were beside themselves in anguish, inconsolable, women bereft, grown men in tears. Scary shit for a four-year-old!  I didn’t know what the issue was until I skipped Kindergarten…. like two years later at 6 years of age…. when they stuck me in 2nd grade because my IQ was up there. Worse was they stuck my younger brother in with me because his IQ was like a buck-seventy… it was an experimental school in Mission Viejo, CA. 

But the point is… RACISM. 61 years on the planet. Lived in the south, Corpus Christie, Florida, traveled around down there.  (Short stints in Australia, Mexico City & the Bahamas…) been through the Panama Canal, Columbia, Guatemala & Costa Rica [Family built racing ships]. It was a blessed youth! 

Later, in Business, I traveled far & wide… Tallahassee, Dothan, All over the Gulf Coast, Appalachacola, Boca Rattan, pretty much from Texarkana to Jacksonville & up to my ancestral home in west Virginia (then to New Jersy, NY upstate, St. Paul, Chicago, Denver, Salt Lake… maybe a few more…) 

In the 55 plus years as an aware person… I’ve seen maybe a handful of racially motivated slights to folks that were darker than myself, the worst was in Shreveport, LA (I went down there to assist a lady friend to take over a farm she inherited. Her Husband was a light Cajun fellow (with a crazy good sense of humor), and I heard comments that I and some locals found to be offensive. But other than that, aside from some high school era use of the N-Word to describe someacually white stoner-dudes, I Have Never Seen Much Racism (Systemic or otherwise). 

So, I’m calling Bullshit on “Racism,” “Systemic Racism,” On “Racist Cops” and I’m cancelling any and all “Race-Cards.” Yep, Bullshit on it all. George Floyd, Bad Kill, no that wasn’t OK, we need to look into his history with his killer…. might be something there.  Atlanta, Brooks? Dude, You do not resist arrest when the PoPo got you dead to rights, and for God’s sake, don’t pinch a deadly weapon from the Man and fire it at that Man you just Wooped (who has a pistol). Did you have a death wish Mr. Brooks? Based on results… Yes, you did. Sorry for your Kids. 

I’ve never been a fan of the cops, (firemen are worse), and I’ve been in more than on Hairy Situation with the men in blue. They shot at me (surrender I did forthwith & without a fight). I FOUGHT THE LAW AND THE LAW ALWAYS WON. Boo-Friggen-whoo. If you don’t know the rules by now, don’t cry to me. The shade of your skin doesn’t get you out of “stupid.” Just say-in.  

Also, black lives matter in proportion to your percentage of the population… BLM exactly 13%. Or do you want to be special? You want to matter more than me? Seems kinda pussy selfish… BECAUSE: Everyone is created equal, none are MORE equal than others!  If you go down that road, you are just asking for trouble. Don’t do it. 

You are a human; I want all humans to matter, we need to be in it for the race… The HUMAN RACE! 

Layman’s Note: The words “Racism,” “Systemic Racism,” “Racist” (“feminist,” “sexist,” “misogynist,” et al) no longer have any meaning because you’all have abused those terms into nonsensicality. Piff! They Don’t Mean Shit Anymore!  Or as I like to say: QUACK QUACK! Grow a backbone & deal with it.
