Air India Passenger Urinates on Woman in Business Class

The mile-high golden shower club just got a new, unfortunately involuntary, member. One would expect these sorts of indelicacies from the plebs in coach, but in business class?

It’s always best to get “affirmative consent,” as the left calls it, before urinating on anyone. One Air India passenger, now the subject of prosecution, has learned the hard way.

Via Fortune:

“A disorderly male passenger on a Nov. 26 flight from New York to Delhi urinated on an elderly woman who was also traveling onboard… Air India—which is owned by Tata Group—said on Wednesday that it had banned the male passenger from its flights for a month as required by regulations, and had reported the incident to the DGCA… According to Indian media, the man accused of urinating on a woman on the Nov. 26 flight is wanted for arrest by the New Delhi police.”

Amazingly, another nonconsensual urination event happened ten days later on the same India Airways:

“ On Thursday, Air India reported a second incident during a Dec. 6 flight between Paris and Delhi, news agency Reuters reported, which saw another male passenger urinate on an empty seat and the blanket of a fellow passenger. Air India reportedly said the passenger on the Paris flight had been arrested on arrival at Delhi but was released by police after coming to an understanding with the victim.”

The Indians struggle infamously with the concept of affirmative consent on public transportation. One recalls the eight-on-one gang-rape of a woman on a Mumbai train a year ago or so and other high-profile events of a similar nature.

As a society, we should strongly encourage third-wave Western feminist college graduates to venture to the subcontinent for backpacking cross-country spiritual journeys to “discover themselves” via Eastern mysticism or whatever; maybe, along the way, they’d gain newfound appreciation for what a “rape culture” actually looks like.
