Establishment Unity party, (Democrats and Republicans) claim S. 686,  aka the RESTRICT Act, seeks to ban China’s TikTok app in the U.S to quote and quote “”protect the American people from communist subversion”".

But the reality of the bill is far more sinister and would greatly expand the U.S. government’s domestic surveillance powers, which would mirror the Communist Chinese Party’s methods of spying on its own people or the individual.

With fines up to 1 million, and jail time for 20 years

The truth of the matter is, that this is nothing more than the internet version of the Patriot Act. An act; if one is wise to remember, paved way for the government; to spy and target individuals after the events of 9 11.
