Clinton Vs. Obama: It Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This

It doesn’t get any better than this. Apparently the Clintons hold the fate of Obama in their hands. It all results from the Benghazi incident and who did what and when.

According to Jason Howerton, the Clintons hold all the cards:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ordered additional security for the U.S. mission in Benghazi ahead of the terrorist attack but the orders were never carried out, according to “legal counsel” to Clinton who spoke to best-selling author Ed Klein. Those same sources also say former President Bill Clinton has been “urging” his wife to release official State Department documents that prove she called for additional security at the compound in Libya, which would almost certainly result in President Obama losing the election.

Movies made today have less interesting plots than this one. Hillary can end Obama’s presidency with a few words. Will she? Klein thinks not. Her dilemma, assuming she has no culpability, is how it affects her future political chances. If she plans to run then, it is in her best interests to get Obama re-elected. It is easier to run when you are not facing an incumbent.

The Benghazi truth will out sometime in the next couple of months or years and she will be vindicated if Klein’s story is valid. The blame will then be cast where it belongs, on Obama. That will occur whether Obama retains office or not.

It is in Hillary’s best interest to “protect” Obama and hope for his re-election. She risks alienating her party by speaking out now.

The dynamic that is playing out in the election is that Obama looks increasingly less likely to retain office with Hillary remaining faithful to her boss. If that becomes apparent, look for some third source (like Ed Klein, perhaps) to leak. In that way, Hillary is absolved from any responsibility and Obama is crushed.

Ah, the wonderful underworld of politics! For politicians, it doesn’t matter what is good for the country. All that matters is how they can personally benefit from handling or demagoging an issue.
