Is the gun debate dead?

A few weeks ago, the S. 649 Background check bill failed to pass the senate. In the time since then, the gun grabber community has been quiet. We saw this in mid-February, the media and feds were quiet to a point where gun control was somewhat of a side issue, then out of nowhere, bills were created (ones like S. 649) that were to push for further gun control. This is somewhat of a tactic for the feds and the mainstream media to “re-group”. Momentum has been lost in the issue for the gun grabbers and main stream media.

So how is the “momentum” regained? Sadly, as we saw with Sandy Hook, shootings cause the debates to flare up time and time again. The media exploits the shootings, blaming firearms and anything the feds want banned. This gives the gun grabbers the momentum, by using emotion caused by the media, to introduce new bills that push for gun control.
