Lies, Lies, Lies. Our government and the forked tongue.

Back again with an article I had always steered away from writing. It has been my policy not to go into too much detail about politics as I am not one to judge. However, I see and hear what’s going on around me these days and months and can’t help but comment. It’s like watching a kid throw a ball and break the window only to see him turn around, look at your face and then say “wasn’t me.” Then at the same time throw his little sister under the bus by saying “she did it.” In my life time I have never witnessed such bold face lying and back stabbing as I’m seeing now. The problem is that there is so much of it that everything is getting lost in the lies. I think that maybe this is the idea. There must be a code within the hierarchy of the government that sends a message to everyone down the ladder – Hold fast and every one lie!

There are several issues that I’m disturbed about. First is this obvious rout of deceit that has been taken by our leaders. In one circumstance, and yes there are several; four Americans died. During this debacle I have yet to hear any mention of how the government is going to address the deaths of these men. The word supposedly has been given that a terrorist faction in Africa is responsible for this madness. Not a You Tube Film, Not Gun Running, but a large group of terrorist. At least this is the most recent story. If this is the case, where is the response? Where is the payback that Americans are so famous for and that has kept us safe for hundreds of years? Well, we can’t do anything because out of the same mouths that say it was terrorist have also said that terrorist in the region are under control and American might is no longer necessary for our protection. Isn’t this why our so called embassy in Africa was left with almost no security and why two dead turned four as two Navy Seals ran to protect their fellow Americans under siege as our government left them all to die alone? God bless the men who run toward gun fire!! During my service we were trained to fight no matter the circumstance or outcome as the final outcome in the end would always be victory. I knew that if I fell on the field, my brothers would bring me home. What happened to the way our country lived and died with the world as a stage to see?

Not only are we under attack across the world, we have been under attack on our own soil. Not by a foreign power but it seems by our own government. Again our government finds themselves breaking the glass and throwing little sister under the buss. We are judged and held in contempt by the way we vote and believe. This strikes us at the very core of freedom. The government seems to brush it off like so many specs of dust on their shoulders. When we are systematically studied, investigated in secrecy, found to be guilty due to words on our voting cards and then punished by a government who has their tax collectors harass and bully American citizen based on these words. We do have a choice. We can either stand together and push back hard or let the lies win the day. I will say that if this issue goes unchecked it will be the beginning of a storm that hasn’t been seen since the days of Rome when they used the same tactics with their citizens based on beliefs, greed and over all power hungry individuals. Economic strife and the need for their government to grow could not keep up with the overall needs they required. In a fairly short time Rome would be reduced from the global power to a mere two little cities in the world that being the city of Rome and Constantinople. Big government equals greed, lies and deceit. Small government encourages people to work and thrive by themselves. I could never understand why some people could not see how the US was so strong during the Regan years. The answer is simple. Our government was setup so that Americans had the opportunity to work, thrive and win. If an individual needed help, it was there for the people who needed and deserved it. If an individual was not willing to work and try, it was a bit harder. The result was that more people went to school to learn a trade. More people started their own businesses and made it work. More young men and women went into the military for the right reasons and stayed for the career. As a result our government was taking care of things around the world. We would never apologize to anyone for being Americans. If you hit us with a stick, we would shoot you with a gun. If you blew up an airplane, we would bomb your country. That is why we were so strong during those years. People didn’t like us around the world. But, people feared us and for the most part and left us alone.
