It’s official: anyone can be proven to have committed any crime.  Anywhere.. at any time.  It’s only a matter of time, if it hasn’t happened already, before the Government realizes the power the Supreme Court granted them.

What am I talking about?  Your DNA.  My DNA.  Everybody’s DNA.  The Supreme Court just ruled that the police can take a DNA sample from anyone they arrest.  You might be saying “well, I’m fine, I haven’t done anything wrong & I don’t plan to.”  WRONG.  It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, & it doesn’t matter why they arrested you.  They can still take a sample of your DNA.  Your DNA is then cataloged with the DNA of everyone else.  “Like who?” You might ask.  Well, did you know that the Government already has the DNA of every baby born in a hospital (see here)?  “Every baby?”  Well, you’re right, I’m sure some manage to get around it somehow.  But that’s probably why they wanted to let the cops get your DNA when they arrest you!

Let’s say you’re driving down the road & a cop pulls up behind you & runs your plates.  He’s got your name & info pulled up.  He notices that you’ve never had your DNA taken by plugging your info into the Government DNA Database.  So he pulls you over.  Doesn’t matter if you were driving the speed limit.  He could just say you looked like someone that was wanted in some investigation & he takes you down to the station.  Swabs you for a sample.  Then he says, “Oh, you’re free to go.  Turns out the gal I’m looking for is a blonde & you’re a brunette.  My bad.”  Now he’s got your DNA & you’re on file.  Even if you fought kicking & screaming.  Say you got a lawyer to sue him & you won.  It still wouldn’t remove your DNA from the Database.  You can be the Federal Government isn’t going to let go of that.

They claim that it’s justified similarly to how they take your fingerprints so they can identify you later, IF you commit a crime & prints are on scene.  But I say it’s completely different.  Here’s how:

Even IF your fingerprints are found at a crime scene, they still have to prove that you did whatever it is they’re claiming you did involved with the fingerprints.  These days, DNA evidence has been open & shut proof of guilt for years.  It’s kind of hard to fabricate fingerprints on a murder weapon, so it’s usually easy to prove who the murderer is anyway (save the OJ Simpson case).

The way this is worse:  having your DNA available to them at any time makes it pretty easy to plant your DNA at the scene of a crime.  A few more years of scientific advancement & I bet they’ll be able to clone your “sample” for use at any given time.  Since DNA is considered proof of guilt in most cases, they could easily destroy anyone’s life at any time.  You don’t like the Government?  Gaining a following of people who feel the same way?  Well, then lets just hire an actress to crush that following & create an explosive sense of distrust, by having her claim you raped her.  Then take it to trial before a jury of your peers (who are supposed to have no prior knowledge of you or the incident) & present to them the actress’ case.  Then hit the jury w/ the DNA evidence & TA DA:  your life is over.  You’ve been framed for rape & there’s nothing you can do to stop it.  Of course, you could have an alibi.  But I’m sure you wouldn’t expect a vile creature such as the Government to not have figured out a way to plant that actress somewhere in your daily life so as to show how probable it is that you did what they said you did.
