Hawthorn Police Make Questionable Arrest and Kill the Man’s Dog.

Hawthorn, CA—Okay I’m ashamed for the cops involved in this incredibly outrageous event. A bystander stops at a police situation to shoot video with his cell phone. That of course is by no means a crime.

For unknown reasons two cops take the man into custody and handcuff him. The man’s dog jumps out of the owner’s car window and the cops slaughter the poor thing in a hail of gunfire.

If this arrest was in retaliation for simply shooting video the officers were themselves committing a crime. The horrible act that followed was incredibly offensive to me personally.

I have to ask, have we become such a horrible police state that this is what we can expect from those sworn to protect our rights and us? If the two officers can’t explain the arrest they should be charged with crimes. I’d like to see this dog’s owner collect at least $1,000,000.00 in civil damages from the City of Hawthorn.

Some cops simply refuse to accept that the public can photograph and shoot video them doing their jobs. Any cops that can’t deal with it can go work at WalMart.

I tied placing a call to the Hawthorne Police Public Information Officer but was unable to get through because they are inundated with lots of calls as you can imagine. Frankly I don’t expect my call will be returned today.

I have posted the video below but warn you that animal lovers like me will find this very disturbing. To my cop friends, I am convinced that most of you will also feel the outrage that I have expressed.
