If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck…then it probably is a coup

  I would like to preface my analysis of the recent events in Egypt with the following statement: Both sides have legitimate concerns, which needed to be addressed from the outset, but they were both too hard-headed and ignorant to set aside their differences. That said, I would just like to tip my hat to the military in Egypt for playing an amazing game. In a relatively short time period, they: 1. Demolished the Muslim Brotherhood, as a whole – Mursi as an individual was never the target, they wanted to bring an end to the Muslim Brotherhood. 2. Despite the people fighting military rule, convinced the people that it is for the good of the nation that they (the military), do away with the constitution and the democratically elected government. 3. They actually convinced the people that this is not a military coup. For the record, following the ousting of Mursi, state TV played videos of the Egyptian army with some nationalistic music in the background. Then again, they must have been right to remove their democratically elected president.
