Corporatist merchants of death who can’t make a profit pleasing customers voluntarily in a free market resort to using the violence of the state. And with trillions to auction off, there is a lot of loot to grab. “Defense contractors” spend money on campaign contributions and get rewarded with exponentially more in return with plush contracts, regulations, subsidies, and favors — all backed by the power of the state to compel and coerce.

The American Empire is the biggest welfare program in history. And the corporatist twins – government and big business – aren’t dumb; they know what they’re doing. That’s why they spread out the manufacture of their killing machines over hundreds of Congressional districts in order to make cuts politically unpopular as well as turning our entire economy built around militarism and military bases.

Lockheed Martin, GE, Northrop Grumman, General Atomics: welfare queens, all of them. I’d love to see what would happen to their power and influence if they were cut off. Eventually they will be, as empires built on debt and paper money have a pretty short shelf life. 

So I say let them compete in the free market! Let’s see how long they last when their clientele are fussy customers who have earned their money rather than psychopathic politicians who have stolen everything they have to give. Something tells me these corporatist monsters would fall apart and go bankrupt pretty damn quickly. Wouldn’t it be nice to see the CEO of Raytheon kicked out in the street, begging for change, instead of a veteran? Senators, too.
