Obamacare, the end of freedom?

Senator Ted Cruz finished an overnight filibuster in which he encouraged his GOP colleagues to fight against Obamacare, the new healthcare bill that has received much scrutiny for it’s freedom eliminating contents. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), or Obamacare, was signed into law by Obama in March 2010. The final phases of the act are to be completed by 2020, a very intimidating life span of such an act.

So what choices do we have as Americans? This weekend the GOP is hoping to have a vote in order to delay the PPACA in exchange to raise the debt ceiling of the United States spending. This is mostly why senator Cruz held the filibuster when he did.

Here is why Obamacare is bad: It forces us to buy government good and services (healthcare) which is illegal per the constitution. Obamacare takes away individual liberty, the fact that we can live on our own and be self sufficient. As stated, it forces us to buy something that many people do not want. It pushes us more and more toward cultural freedoms (I like to call them for the greater good freedoms).
