The Mark 666 Of The Beast

Most people have heard of the mark of the beast and Christians have a pretty good understanding of what it is and what it means.  Atheists scoff, as do most politicians and Agnostics wonder about it all.

The Mark of the Beast is no mystery if a person reads The book of Revelation written by John on the island of Patmos.  John simply tells the everyday Christian what he witnessed in a vision.  There is no obligation for any person, Christian or otherwise, to believe the vision actually came from God.  It is after all, just a book written by a crazed man banished to an island where many think he hallucinated from eating the local mushrooms.

I have read his hallucinations many times; in fact, I have read the entire Bible nine times and written many explanations about its meaning and some of the interpretations. I do not consider myself an expert on the Bible but like most of you, I can read and understand. 

The Mark of the Beast is not a complicated passage.

In Chapter 13, John looks and he sees  

“… a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on the horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names…” John tells us the beast was “…like a leopard and his feet were like those of a bear and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.”

“…and the whole earth followed after the beast (4) and they worshiped the dragon because he gave authority to the beast: and the worshipped the beast…” 

John continues telling us about this beast.

  “…and all who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life…”

Then John continues with the rest of his story.  “…And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon. (12) And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence.  And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed…”

Then John tells us about the Mark of the Beast. 

“…And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the freemen and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead.  (17) and he provides that no one should be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name…let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast…the number is that of a man: and his number is (19) six hundred and sixty-six.” 

Then we have the crux of the story about the Mark of the Beast in Chapter 14.

“…if anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives the mark on his forehead or upon his hand, (10) he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the lamb…”

Now, if you believe what God says in His Bible through John, then we have a real problem with Marco Rubio’s (Biometric Implant) in every person living in the United States.  Rubio has introduced the idea that every person in this country should have a biometric chip implanted into his hand or arm.  The chip could be easily scanned to determine your legality.  This idea sounds good on the surface and it will come in the guise of doing good; it will assist the government in tracking illegal aliens and those not registered with the government services.  Here is the problem I see.  This chip will have considerable memory, (most memory chips do).  Not only will the government know your every move they will also be able to control your entire environment.  Let’s say you go to the store and you want to buy food for a week and you’re on food stamps.  You decide to pick up a few beers.  The new chip will not allow you to buy your beer because it is not an authorized purchase if you are on food stamps. 

Let’s say you do something the government does not like, you talk bad about the President or a Congressman or Congresswoman. You go to the store to purchase your weekly supply of groceries and your account is shut down because of your subversive actions.  Your little hand scanner no longer works…the government has your entire life in one little chip.  They know everything there is to know about you with the push of a button and they have to power to eliminate you from the county, the world, from your very existence. 

You want to purchase a gun…the scanner won’t let you.  You can’t to go visit your mother in Mexico…the scanner has cancelled all travel out of the country.  You decide to take a trip for a few days to the mountains…the scanner activated in your arm tells the government exactly where you are.  You cannot escape. 

If you think this is farfetched, then you have more faith in your government than you do in God.  I just posted a bit on the new National ID card that Obama wants.  Rubio wants to take that idea one step further and implant his little tracking device into your body.  I see the Mark of the Beast chomping at the bit to take control of the country and every person in it.  I realize there is no way in this society we can escape the wiles of our government but we can try to slow them down just a little.  If we allow Rubio’s plan to go into effect, we will be signing our own death warrant.  We have already lost our country to government and it will never come back to us but we should be able to prolong our death just a little while longer. 

I suggest we tell Rubio we don’t want his scanning chip implanted into our bodies because it gives the government total control over our every move, our very lives and our existence.
