Greenville Conservative Activist Files Lawsuit

Magda Aguila is a conservative activist from Greenville, S.C. and is being slandered by political operatives via an anonymous twitter account.

According to the press release, “the suit is a result of what is believed to be a political operative within the Greenville County or South Carolina Republican Party which is setting out to destroy or damage Magda ‘s reputation, her business and her social influence with the purpose of suppressing her advocacy in favor of Constitutional principles by using a fake Twitter account called “Probably Magda”.

The tweets from “Probably Magda” were sent to a very wide audience including Republican Party leaders and other members, and they were often graphic and sometimes of a sexual nature.

The tweets from “Probably Magda” portrayed Magda in an unfavorable light, and damaged her business and professional reputation in the community. 

The suit against Craig’s List is due to someone listing Magda’ s van for sale without her permission and the harassing calls she has received due to that listing.

The Greenville Post’s Joshua Cook asked, “Why are you being targeted and not other vocal activists? Do you think it’s because of your Hispanic background?”

“I don’t hold anything back,” said Aguila. “I tell it like it is, and don’t much care what other people think. I also think that by being ‘older’ and female, they think they can scare me away with their tactics and they fail to realize that their strategy totally backfired.“

“The GOP claims that they want to bring more Hispanics into the party, but I have found that to a large degree that refers to ‘moderate’ Hispanics, and not Conservative Liberty Hispanics. As a Cuban I have experienced first hand what the policies that have been established by our government for many years, chip away people’s freedoms and get them ‘adjusted’ to the reality of less freedoms,” said Aguila.
