Shocking – Politician’s Beware of Public Exposure, Stay Away Huggers
It’s People’s Forum 2014 in Sultanpur, Northern India and five local politicians were taking a Q & A session when according to local photographer Pankaj Kumar Gupta “This man suddenly came on the stage, poured petrol on himself and set himself on fire before tightly hugging one of the political guests.”
Two other local politicians taking part in the show, Ram Kumar Singh and Chowdhary Hriday Ram Verma, sustained minor burns while trying to save the pair.
Looking closely at the picture what on earth is that stuff coming out of the bucket, can it be water, must be highly polluted. Might be a case of “the cure is worse than the complaint.”
A man, named by police as Durgesh Kumar Singh, emerged from a crowd of about 150 onlookers, doused himself in petrol and then grabbed the local leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party, Kamruzzama Fauji.
Mr Singh sustained burns to 95 per cent of his body, and local media is reporting he has died in hospital.
Doctors say Mr Fauji is in critical condition with burns to 75 per cent of his body.

Before I set myself on fire THEN hugged a politician I’d toss some fuel directly on them and lite them up….
It is sand. It is often used to put out a fire as it doesn’t evaporate and is a convenient place to poke cigarette butts. If you are on fire I don’t think you really care what is being thrown on you to extinguish the flames as long as it works.
Speaking of, whatever happened to good ol’ necklacing? I guess it was just one of those fads, a flash in the pan you might say.
