GOP Plaform plank on marriage

The Republican party platform is in a time of decision.   Do they keep the 2012 party platform stance that marriage is between one man and one woman or do they cave in to the winds of change and accept homosexual/gay marriage along side of heterosexual marriage?   If the Supreme Court rules in favor of homosexual/gay marriage will the 2016 GOP platform call for a Constitutional amendment to uphold marriage as between one man and one woman?  Personally speaking I like the 2012 GOP platform plank on marriage.   If they modify it to include the homosexual/gay marriage, then they have lost my Biblically based vote.   Matthew 19:4-6 says, “And He answered and said to them, Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”   
   If the GOP changes its stance on marriage they may not only lose conservative Christian votes, like mine, they may also lose God’s approval.   Kenny Merriken, Lake City, Florida
