Ben Carson Whining--People Are Too Critical Of His Story--He Hates Being Lied About [Picture]

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson thinks his vetting by the media is unfair. While he supports vetting of all presidential candidates, he says he has a problem with being lied about.

Controversy stems from his autobiography, “Gifted Hands”. In it, Carson claims that he had been an angry, violent youth who tried to stab a friend; he was saved by religion. CNN interviewed nine of his childhood friends and none of them remembered this incident. Carson’s campaign referred to a 1997 Parade Magazine article in which his mother tells a reporter that it really happened. Carson also wrote in his autobiography that he turned down a “full scholarship” to West Point. Politico.com charged that Carson “fabricated” this story since he never applied to West Point and was never offered admission. Again Carson’s campaign clarified the situation: as top ROTC student at his high school, Carson was told that he would be admitted to West Point if he applied but he chose not to pursue it. In “Gifted Hands” Carson writes that he was rewarded for honesty as a student at Yale University. The Wall Street Journal reported it could find no evidence of this incident having occurred nor that there was even a course called “Perceptions 310”. A fellow student who helped stage the study told ABC News that the course was Psychology 10 and in describing the incident in his book, Carson “got it close to right.”                source
