Does Donald Trump Have a Secret Deal With Ben Carson - to Stay in The Race?

Last night, Donald Trump won Nevada, convincingly, with 45% support. Many in the RNC establishment are calling for a “winnowing” of the field in order to give Trump a run for his money with a Cruz or Rubio. Carson, however, is declaring that his fight for the nomination is “only beginning”.

Surely Carson is aware of the fact that his chances of winning the nomination at this point are an emphatic zero. He is spending very little money, and running even fewer ads. Yet, his campaign is continuing on. So the question is, why? Is he doing it for name recognition or additional publicity? Maybe, but probably not. Carson was already a very well known brain surgeon, after writing several books in the early 90’s and 2000’s, as well as being the first ever surgeon to successfully separate Siamese twins. Beyond that, he has already made a huge sum of money since launching his campaign for president, and has also now participated in 10 nationally televised Republican debates. His book, ‘One Nation: What we Can All Do To Save America’s Future’, was the NY Times best-seller for over 5 weeks in the fall of 2015, and sold over 347,000 copies, an impressive statistic to be sure. According to a Newsmax report in June of 2015, Carson’s earnings since the presidential cycle had begun, had netted him more than $27 million dollars. Fast forward six months later, and Carson will undoubtedly walk away a very wealthy man. Newsmax Report

So clearly, Carson does not need the money, and he does not need the fame.

He might however, want the power. As this article here from Mediaite reports , just two weeks ago Carson was quoted as stating that he would indeed be open to serving as Donald Trump’s Vice President. In other video clips, he is seen saying things like “Trump has been very useful” and also “very effective”.
