Ted Cruz Prioritizes Flat Rate Income Tax, Puts Ideology Ahead of Fealty

We are still quite a long way behind the US presidential elections but presumptions have started to pour in. With several candidates earnestly seeking to replace the existing president, it becomes quite intriguing to look into the speeches, outlines and priorities, as jotted down by each.

Today we focus on Ted Cruz, a strict idealist and the way he might start off with administration, once in power.

The Republican Party seems to be in dark waters regarding Donald Trump, more so for his political oblivion. However, Ted Cruz has also been a cause for concern—as we all know what he will be offering to the mainland. Cruz is a believer and considers ideologies to be more important than fealty. If put succinctly, he might just be the most conservative President, ever elected in this modern era.

Ted Cruz has already made a lot of enemies in the Republican protégé, as most of the existing politicians aren’t like to get plum positions, in case his administration takes form. He is on the look-out for an activist base, followed by the right-wing group. While Donald Trump has clearly mentioned the expected names, Ted hasn’t given out on many details, as for now.

Ted Cruz, however, mentioned Jeff Sessions, the Alabama Senator and a former ‘Federal Prosecutor’ as a prospective candidate for the position of Homeland Security Secretary. Cruz seems interested in offering a cabinet position to his presidential rival, Marco Rubio.

Ted Cruz has plans of dissolving separate departments for commerce, education, energy and ‘Housing and Urban development’ which means that he might just have fewer positions to fill, in case he becomes the president.

Cruz wants to do away with the age-old ‘Internal Revenue Service’ and make a shift towards ‘Flat Income Tax’.

Mr Cruz also insisted on Donald Trump’s assistance with trade negotiations. Although this idea was way before their ugly spat or a fallout rather, it would be interesting to see whether Mr Trump is still put in charge of the famed wall on the ‘US-Mexican’ border, once Ted Cruz is in power.

1. A flat tax rate of 10 percent will be instituted

2. ‘Tearing Up’ the nuclear deal with Iran

3. Rolling Back the Healthcare Reform under Obama’s Administration
