WATCH: Trump tells YUGE lie about position on federal land (video)

Donald Trump via National Review

“I happen to be one who cheers and supports the Sagebrush Rebellion. Count me in as a rebel.” – Ronald Reagan, 1980

The unconstitutional land grab predominantly in the west by the federal government goes against everything that the founding fathers wanted to achieve with the American experiment. An effort from the 1970’s and 80’s to return the land to the states called the Sagebrush Rebellion was very much justified and Ronald Reagan even claimed himself to be a rebel.

Last year, in an article titled “The Republican war on parks,” MSNBC slammed Ted Cruz for his amendment “that would cap federal land ownership, and transfer any excess land to state taxpayers.” Donald Trump, who has taken fire for his own abuse of land in the form of unconstitutional use of eminent domain, does not trust the states to be stewards of their own land, as revealed at The Right Scoop.

Here is the relevant portion of an interview from Field & Stream from just last month:

Anthony Licata: “I’d like to talk about public land. Seventy percent of hunters in the West hunt on public lands managed by the federal government. Right now, there’s a lot of discussion about the federal government transferring those lands to states and the divesting of that land. Is that something you would support as President?”

Donald Trump: “I don’t like the idea because I want to keep the lands great, and you don’t know what the state is going to do. I mean, are they going to sell if they get into a little bit of trouble? And I don’t think it’s something that should be sold. We have to be great stewards of this land. This is magnificent land. And we have to be great stewards of this land…”

Watch the interview:

Watch Cruz’s campaign ad calling out Trump:

Donald Trump, shockingly, said after referring to Cruz as a “liar” and “sick” for the ad.

From the Washington Post:

“At his rally before 8,000 people packed into the equestrian arena of a Las Vegas hotel and casino, Trump acknowledged that he knew little about the land-use issue. Watching the ad, he said, ‘I’m saying to myself, ‘Well, it’s not a subject I know anything about.’ It’s a hell of an ad. This is a Cruz ad. This guy is sick. There’s something wrong with this guy.”

Trump predicted Nevadans would turn against Cruz: ‘They don’t want to vote for a liar.’”

This author resisted the Bundy story in 2014, as the news claimed that the rancher failed to pay “grazing fees” and it was therefore justified for the federal government to seize his cattle, albeit in a heavy-handed manner. After a cursory review of the facts, however, the true horror of not just Bundy’s plight, but the plight of ranchers in the west became sickeningly clear.

The bottom line is that radical environmentalists have been working with the federal government to do everything they can to destroy ranchers.
