Security Firm Possibly Above the Law? Making Violent Attack on Man

A man was apparently at the forefront of a confrontation in Dublin – In Dicey’s nightclub, Harcourt St. It’s alleged the young man was led from the Dublin based nightclub accompanied by door-staff contracted from BCS. (Security company).

- Its reported by eyewitness – the door-staff were seen hitting the man before the below footage was recorded. Subsequently the footage below was recorded by an attendee of the nightclub, after the altercation moved outside. Another young woman is reported to have footage of the incident evolving inside the nightclub, before it escalated onto the street.

Obviously whatever happened inside the nightclub caused the victim of the attack to become distraught and angry, as a portion of the footage shows the man throwing the blood from his face at the security men who allegedly beat him up while removing him from Dicey’s nightclub.

The blood throwing incident led to a savage assault by a member of the BCS security firm. One retaliating security member further kicking the victim into the stomach before knocking him to the ground where he was further set-upon by a number of other security members.

The methods used by BCS security to restrain the man are complicit, as they violated the allowed use of reasonable force. The footage clearly shows other members of BCS obstructing the view of the camera while their colleagues restraining the victim launch a series of punches into the man while he is already subdued.

The footage clearly borderlines on grievous bodily harm – and the security personnel responsible for the attack showed no compassion for the victims already bloody state. – BCS employees are now liable for prosecution, should the victim press charges as this footage makes its way around the media spotlight.

LiveLine – RTE – Talks the situation through with the Mother of the young lad who recorded the footage, and also speaks with the manager of BCS security who claims “Yes I have seen the footage”, but when questioned by the presenter regarding specific proportions of the incident. – The manager claims not to have seen that specific piece of footage during the interview to this unjust attack.

Questions remain around what really happened inside the nightclub which led to the escalated incident outside Dicey’s, and footage of that may yet arise for clarity of the story on both sides of the incident.
