Hurricane Matthew is bearing down on Florida as we speak. Millions have been evacuated. Airports and highways are clogged, businesses are boarded up, hatches are battened down.
The deadly category 4 hurricane has already caused destruction, devastation and death in the Caribbean, and is expected to bring an enormous storm surge ashore in Florida tonight. Gov. Rick Scott, Gov. Nikki Haley, and both weather and public safety officials are all issuing warnings and Americans everywhere are praying.
Well, most of us, anyway. Some have other ideas.
Yep, that’s Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report tweeting to his over 400 thousand followers that the hurricane might not be so bad because they’re just trying to make you afraid of global warming.
Now that is a conspiracy theory. The enormity of it is really mind-boggling. I mean, if you’re going to go, go all out right? Sure, it’s irresponsible and has no foundation. Sure wild speculation to the hundreds of thousands of people who listen to him on the cusp of what could be a major disaster suggesting they maybe don’t take the danger seriously is borderline maniacal. But it’s siren-y though, right?
You know why it’s awesome? You can’t tell if they are serious or not. MAGA!
