Clock Boy’s Defamation Suit Gets Tossed in the Most #Caring Way
After Ben Shapiro discussed the family background and possible motives of Ahmed Mohammed (Clock Boy) and his family when they claimed he was religiously profiled and discriminated against by his Texas school district, Mohamned’s family slapped Shapiro with a defamation suit.
Mohammed filed the lawsuit in October 2015 after Shapiro made an appearance on The Kelly File questioning Ahmed’s story and motives surrounding a clock he brought to school that looked like a bomb. Ahmed was detained by police for the “clock” and was suspended. His family, who has ties to foreign regimes sponsoring terrorism, and CAIR promptly accused the school of Islamophobia and racial profiling.
Fortunately, the Court ruled that Shapiro’s comments were not defamatory and dismissed the lawsuit.
Mohammed’s family apparently thought they could assign motives to school district officials and Americans as a whole without people having the opportunity to discuss their claims. As per usual among the left, they sought to have courts back up their attempts to silence.

The Court ordered the Plaintiffs to pay Shapiro’s legal fees as well. So the family must now pay the legal team, which includes (Townhall columnist and LA-based attorney) Kurt Schlichter.
“I could not be prouder than to have had the opportunity, along with Chris and Ross, to help Ben protect every American’s right to speak out on important issues,” Schlichter said. “Ben never once wavered, never even considered giving in, and we are grateful that the Court has unequivocally reaffirmed his and every American’s right to speak freely.”
