Pills have become a very profitable business in the pharmaceutical business!

Top Contributors to elected pill pushers in 2017-2018:

Pfizer Inc ($844,571)

Amgen Inc ($738,626)

Abbvie Inc ($467,833)

Merck & Co ($443,698)

Eli Lilly & Co ($432,860)

Sanofi ($340,637)

Novo Nordisk ($312,723)

Opioid pushers celebrating pharmaceutical kickbacks

Top Monetary Pharmaceutical Recipients of 2017-2018

Hatch, Orrin g (R-Ut) Senate – Received $218,199.00 from Pharmaceutical companies – Sen. Orrin Hatch, who has represented Utah in Congress since 1977, has historically not been a supporter of marijuana reform, and continues to oppose full recreational legalization.

Ryan, Paul (R-WI) House – Received $151,225.00 from Pharmaceutical companies – Although Paul Ryan doesn’t support the legalization of marijuana, in 2006; he agreed that it should be left up to the states to choose whether or not to legalize medical marijuana. Strangely, in October of 2017, Paul Ryan was one of many Congressional Republicans who blocked numerous amendments from being voted on, including ones to shield state laws from federal interference, to remove research roadblocks and even to allow military veterans increased access to medical marijuana.

In 1619, King James I announced The Virginia Company decree, which ordered every colonist to cultivate 100 help plants for export to England. Hemp was even exchanged as legal tender in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Maryland.

Domestic cannabis production continued to flourish up through the Civil War, when it was used to produce rope and fabric. Also during this time, hemp and marijuana were embraced for their medicinal properties.

The demonization of the cannabis plant was an extension of the demonization of the Mexican immigrants. In an effort to control and keep tabs on these new citizens, El Paso, TX borrowed a play from San Francisco’s playbook, which outlawed opium decades earlier in an effort to control Chinese immigrants. The idea was to have an excuse to search, detain and deport Mexican immigrants.

So why do the elected choose to continue demonizing the medicinal uses of marijuana even though science has proven its benefits over many of the drugs that pharmaceutical companies are pushing?

Answer: Political kickbacks

Pharmaceutical companies have provided monetary kickbacks to elected drug pushing elected officials (Senators and Congressman alike) in an effort to maintain their profit ratios. What would happen if ½ of the pharmaceutical opioid pusher population decreased by two thirds upon the legalization of medicinal marijuana? I imagine that opioid pushers such as Pfizer would lose a substantial amount of money. Therefore, these opioid drug producers provide monetary kickbacks to crony drug pushers Paul Ryan and Orrin Hatch.

So why do elected officials continue to demonize the uses of marijuana (herbs) even though science has proven its benefits over many of the drugs that pharmaceutical companies are pushing?

Answer: Political kickbacks/greed

Pharmaceutical CEOs need you hooked on opioids. Larry J. Merlo, CEO of CVS Health, earned almost $32 million in 2015.

Parmaceutical companies appreciate your business. They’re the drug pushers that own your POS politicians. Studies have shown that 3/4s of our elected politicians are opioid abusers.
