Three suicide explosions rock Swaida leaving scores killed, injured

A series of suicide attacks hit the southern province of Swaida this morning as battles intensify to expel the Islamic State from its last stronghold near the Occupied Golan Heights. According to a security source, elements from ISIS terror group have managed to sneak into the province and carried out three suicide explosions in three different neighborhoods. The militants were confronted by the security forces and national defense forces, who engaged in firefights against the assailants, killing two of them. A civilian was killed while attempting to stop one of the suicide bombers at al-Maslakh neighborhood. The triple attack left several dead and wounded, and caused a material damage, especially at al-Souk district. This comes as ISIS militants heavily attacked al-Matouna and Doma villages located in the eastern and northeastern countryside of the province… SANA Report: SANA reporter in Sweida said that a suicide bomber blew himself up in the area of al-Souq in Sweida city, as a number of citizens were martyred and others were injured. The reporter added that the competent authorities hunted down and killed two of the terrorist suicide bombers before they blew themselves up. In a relevant context, army units confronted Daesh (ISIS) terrorist attack on al-Matouneh village to the north of Sweida city, Douma, Tima and al-Shabaki in Sweida northeastern countryside.

ISIS bomber captured alive in Swaida

Several ISIS suicide bombers have infiltrated the southern city of Swaida this morning, sparking a series of deadly explosions across the majority-Druze city. The suicide attacks were carried out while hundreds of the group’s jihadists broke through several towns and villages of the eastern countryside of the province, massacring nearly 147 civilians. One of the suicide bombers was supposed to blew up his explosive belt inside the city’s National Hospital when he was captured alive just moments before another potential carnage.
