Today’s national protest is a HUGE success, many cities are literally packed with protesters.

No extreme violence against protesters have been observed in the afternoon. However, no doubt there will be incidents and injured protesters later as mobile brigades are arriving en-masse and protesters took “undeclared paths” to bypass the CRS blockades. In many cities, people decided to pursue the protest during the night. They want to exhaust the police forces and push them to go on strike. Things are getting pretty hot like in Marseille where the police forces are totally outnumbered.

For the record, authorities officially announced only 27000 protesters (source : http://www.leparisien.fr/economie/direct-gilets-jaunes-la-mobilisation-reprend-pour-un-acte-10-19-01-2019-7992141.php#xtor=AD-1481423552 ) and now they officially announce 84,000 protesters. Police unions announce 360,000 protesters, more than the previous weekend.
