Nearly 50 ‘Undocumented’ People Storm a Texas Port of Entry; Agents Are Forced to Use Tear Gas

On early Saturday, nearly 50 “undocumented individuals” stormed a port of entry at the Texas border. Agents with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection had to employ tear gas and pepper spray to stop the mob.

The melee occurred around 4 a.m. at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge, which is closed regularly between 12 and 6 a.m.

Despite the nightly closure, CBP had been forced to place temporary barriers in order to resist the hefty number of folks trying to make their way across.

As told to Fox by a border official, Saturday’s rush came in three waves.

The bridge-breaching brood even tore down the razor wire:

“Ignoring commands to stop, the group suddenly rushed the temporary barricades, bent metal poles and disabled the concertina wire affixed to the barrier.”

Some dudes assaulted the agents and began grabbing at their weapons. Note: That’s an easy way to get shot. I’m surprised only pepper spray was involved.

“Several males in the group disregarded commands to stop and physically pushed through the barriers. When confronted by CBP officers, the combative individuals began assaulting the officers by punching, kicking, and attempting to grab the officers’ protective devices.”

Two men are being charged with “interference,” as per Fox. Fourteen others are looking at pending federal charges.

The bridge reopened at 8 a.m.

The effort to overtake the bridge comes at the end of several days’ battle between Trump and the Freshman Fab Four (here), initiated by the congresswomen’s opposition to Nancy Pelosi over border funding (here).
