At Drag Queen Story Hour, Now Small Children Can Learn Something New: How to Sexually Twerk
Yesterday, I covered a teacher in California passing out a flyer to 12-year-olds about the options of being sexually attracted to fellas, females, or to an alternative gender (here).
We’ve seen similar discussion led by teachers in elementary school.
I find that especially odd because, when I was growing up, if a male — teacher or otherwise — talked to a little girl about who she was sexually attracted to, he could end up in jail, with a black eye, or both.
I’m surprised by the skyrocketed normalizing of this newfangled combo: children and sex. Why are these two ever mixing? It’s at best unnecessary and at worst much worse. And here’s another drop in the bodacious bucket.
You’re no doubt familiar with the Drag Queen Story Hour craze making its way across the land courtesy of public libraries. If not, see here and here, or better yet, check out the absolute insanity that was this — complete with rooftop snipers.
Well, here’s something new little tykes can learn at the educational extravaganzas: how to sexually lure interested parties to their behinds.
That’s right: small children recently got a lesson in twerking.
They’ll be on their way to rap video stardom in no time.
The parents didn’t seem to mind.
In a viral video, a man in drag who goes by the name Mama G teaches wee boys and girls in the UK how to shake that booty.
He explains:
“Most of all, Michael likes to twerk. … All you need to do is, you just need to stand with your feet sort of shoulder-width apart like so, okay? … And then you crouch down in this sort of position, so your bum’s sticking out. I hope you’re taking this all in. And then you just move your butt up and down like that. And that’s twerking.”
Parents laugh.
But not everyon’s finding it funny:
Enough is enough!!
This is predatory behavior!
If parents won’t protect their own children, law enforcement must!
Drag culture is adult entertainment!

If you think it’s normal for a 300 pound bearded man dressed like a demon clown twerking in front of the children while telling them “you can be boys or girls kids!” And then they bring out the drag kids so they can twerk and be handed dollars bills.. so brave so beautiful?

Bloke dressed normally teaching children to twerk – lock him up. Bloke in drag doing it- stunning and brave.

Whether its Beyonce or a drag queen, no one should be teaching young children how to twerk.

Other responses, as reported by DevonLive:
“Wholly inappropriate for children. What on earth were you thinking.”
“On what planet do you think this sexualized womanface act is appropriate for young children?”
“My children would have found this alarming and confusing, and probably have been put off books for life.”
Libraries Unlimited — which runs Devon Libraries, released a statement in the aftermath:
As a charity, we are committed to ensuring our libraries are welcoming, safe and inclusive places for all. We celebrate the arts, equality and diversity and are proud that our libraries offer a space for communities to come together and enjoy the power of words, reading and storytelling.
At Libraries Unlimited we take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously and have a safeguarding policy that is followed by all staff across the organisation.
In this case, we can also confirm that the artist involved has a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Libraries are open to all, and we hope that everyone will find something suitable for them amongst our diverse range of activity across Devon and Torbay.
Mama subsequently changed his Twitter feed to only approved followers. However, before the change, as per Life Site News, the screenshot of a post revealed him asking children to send their email addresses.
And now Suffolk Libraries has claified: The twerk lessons were for the parents, not the small children:
We’ve spoken to @mamagstories who has clarified that their tweet inviting people to DM them was aimed at parents. We are committed to promoting e-safety and we would never encourage children to share their personal details online. Safeguarding policy: https://t.co/vFEE6Os4cW
