Allowing Boys to Compete in Girls’s Sports May Be the Game Changer in This Governor’s Race

FILE – In this Feb. 7, 2019 file photo, Bloomfield High School transgender athlete Terry Miller, second from left, wins the final of the 55-meter dash over transgender athlete Andraya Yearwood, far left, and other runners in the Connecticut girls Class S indoor track meet at Hillhouse High School in New Haven, Conn. Three Connecticut girls who participate on high school track teams have filed a federal discrimination complaint against a statewide policy on transgender athletes, saying it has cost them top finishes in competitions and possibly college scholarships. The governor’s race is shaping up to be both close and dirty. The polling, as one might expect this far in advance (I think some enterprising state attorney general should examine the monetary relationships between parties/candidate and polling companies on these early polls) are all over the place. The Democrats are accusing Republican Matt Bevin of profligate spending while screwing teachers (average teacher’s salary in Kentucky is nearly $54,000/year; median household income in Kentucky is $46,000, so, yeah, someone’s getting screwed). The problem for the Democrats is that they are running leftwing wacko attorney general Andy Beshear. Beshear’s role in mainstreaming transexual ideology into the Kentucky school system has become an issue.

Riffing of the situation in Connecticut where boys who identify as girls are dominating girls’s track and Texas were a boy is kicking major female ass as a wrestler, a political action group called the Campaign for American Principles has released these two ads in support of Matt Bevin:

The apologists for allowing boys pretend to be girls in sports complain:

Regardless of what a policy “might” be today, the issue is really what the law might become. Beshear is seemingly onboard with the transexual mania because he won’t say that he will not allow a Connecticut-like regime to be instituted once he is governor. We’ve seen across the country how the rush to embrace sexual perversion and mental illness…and dare I say it, cynical opportunism in regards to competing for academic scholarships in women’s sports…in the name of “tolerance” and “inclusion” have rolled over our schools like an ugly tidal wave of #FAIL.

According so some polling data, these ads may be moving the needle. The group running the ads, as reported to Breitbart.com, is claiming a home run.

Right now all the Beshear campaign can do is fume and have its media lapdogs attack Matt Bevin as a meany-pants. But I suspect that these ads are going to move moderate and undecided voters in large numbers. Bevin won his last race by nearly 9 points while Beshear squeaked out a 1 point win. The ads may no be vital but they do seem to have the ability to put this race out of reach for the Democrats.
