The FBI, ICE and the Department of Education’s Inspector General are all looking into Democrat Muslima Rep. Ilhan Omar, according to investigative reporter David Steinberg.
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is under heavy fire from the conservative media over her many scandals including marrying her own brother to defraud US immigration, tax fraud, identity fraud and more recently an affair with a married man.
Ilhan Omar refuses to answer questions about her fraudulent marriage to her own brother and accuses anyone asking questions of bigotry and Islamophobia.
Omar also dodges any questions about her affair with a married man even though her campaign paid over $200,000 to her married lover.
David Steinberg’s impeccable investigative reporting on Ilhan Omar over the last few years has revealed she may have committed the “worst crime spree in Congressional history.”
There is overwhelming evidence that Ilhan Omar married her own brother to defraud US immigration, then lied about it under oath in her divorce papers.

Steinberg handed the FBI his evidence against Ilhan Omar and they found it compelling enough to share with the other two agencies.
“The DofEd. IG is considering evidence that Ilhan married a UK citizen in ’09 perhaps to commit student loan fraud, or other education fraud,” Steinberg said.

In Oct ’19, the @FBI held a formal meeting to discuss a file of evidence against Ilhan Omar.
(I was invited, but did not attend. I did submit new info to the FBI via an attorney.)
The @FBI has since found the evidence compelling enough to share with these 2 agencies.

The marriage only lasted from ’09-Jun ’11.
She still lived w/ her 1st husband throughout.

ICE is considering evidence that Ilhan Omar married a UK citizen (who was also her own brother) to commit immigration fraud.
Steinberg says according to evidence he has gathered, Ilhan Omar “likely committed dozens of felonies in the course of sustaining this fraud.”

Govt agencies rarely acknowledge an investigation. For now, I can confirm that the @FBI chose to share evidence w/ at least these 2 agencies.

Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch also demanded an investigation into Ilhan Omar (we aren’t even sure that is her real name).
“Substantial, compelling and, to date, unrefuted evidence has been uncovered that Rep. Ilhan Omar may have committed the following crimes in violation of both federal law and Minnesota state law: perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, state and federal tax fraud, and federal student loan fraud,” Judicial Watch wrote in a complaint to the Office of Congressional Ethics last summer.

The FBI and ICE are investigating Rep. Ilhan Omar’s activities between 2009 and 2017, including her marriages to Ahmed Hersi and Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. Heavy.com has reached out to Rep. Omar’s campaign for comment on the allegations.

The Blaze’s David Steinberg made the claims in a January 16 article for the Glenn Beck-run conservative website. Steinberg’s reports have not been corroborated by any other media organization or any government agency.

Steinberg points to Minnesota state Rep. Steve Drazkowski, who had previously directed Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney Erica McDonald, to look into Rep. Omar’s alleged crimes. Since then, Steinberg says that the FBI has taken “additional steps” since then. On January 17, Rep. Drazkowski retweeted a version of Steinberg’s story. The pinned tweet at the top of Drazkowski’s profile is a negative message about Rep. Ilhan.
Heavy.com has reached out to ICE and the FBI’s field office in Minneapolis for comment on Steinberg’s story.

Among other things, Omar, 38, is accused of marrying her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, in 2009 in order for him to gain entry to the United States. At the time, Elmi was living in London. Steinberg points to Elmi registration at North Dakota State University as a federal education violation, in addition to an immigration violation. Steinberg describes Omar’s crimes as “eight instances of perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, up to eight years of state and federal tax fraud, two years of federal student loan fraud, and even bigamy.”
Since 2002, Omar has been in a romantic relationship with Ahmed Hirsi, who is three years her senior. The couple has three children together. The couple married in their faith in 2002 but did not legally wed. When Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the congresswoman said that she and Hirsi had separated. The couple later reconciled in 2011 and had a third child. Omar did not divorce Elmi until 2017. Omar’s complicated marital history was detailed in a lengthy June 2019 Minneapolis Star-Tribune feature.

The latest story on the allegations against the congresswoman comes as Dalia al-Aqidi, a Donald Trump-supporting Iraqi refugees, announced that she will challenge for Omar’s seat in 2020. Al-Aqidi told the New York Post about her candidacy in January 2020, “[Omar is] spreading hatred, and she is spreading racism throughout not only her district, not only her state, but throughout the whole country, and this is very important. She’s hurting the moderate Muslims; Muslims like myself. She doesn’t represent me as a Muslim.”
While on her official website, Dalia says, “Agents of anger and discord like Rep. Ilhan Omar are tearing at America from within. On the surface, we look the same. We’re both women, refugees, Muslims, but we couldn’t be further apart. She sows seeds of division, defending our enemies. When I became an American citizen, I took an oath to defend the Constitution and defend our country from all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
