DO YOU HATE YOUR GOVERNMENT?

I do.

I hate my government because they are Dumb Mother Vuckers.

That’s right…DMV

I don’t mean to be mean spirited, I do love my grandchildren, and I support the thin blue line, and I try to help out when a neighbor has to move a refrigerator, and, generally speaking, I like mankind.

Then I go to the DMV.

Florida DMV is located at something called ‘The Tax Collector.’ I suppose lumping control of motor vehicle owners with taxes enables the DMV to be protected by armed guards. 

But, think about it, why does the DMV think they need armed guards?

Because they are stupid and know that they are stupid and they know that they get their stupid all over people and then people go into stupid rage and want to…the DMV needs armed guards.

I went to the tax collector website a half dozen times trying to get my California car re-registered in Florida. Every time I went there the website said everything was quick and easy! No more lines! No more waiting!

But when I tried to make an appointment (they don’t take walk ins) the website was ‘not available.’ Weeks passed. Months passed, and finally I drove down to the Tax Collector to see if I could talk to somebody, at least let them know their website didn’t work.

The armed guard refused to let me through the door. He said I must make an appointment. ‘But the website is broken!’ I wailed. Finally, when he saw that I wasn’t leaving, he reached inside, grabbed his clipboard and made me an appointment.

And now the game begins.

My certificate of title has my co-signer listed (Nissan corp is as stupid as the government), my co-signer has to be present even though he is not a co-owner, my car forgot to show up, my wife must show up even though she is not on the document, and my endless appointments with the DMV threaten to travel into the mists of time.

Meanwhile, the website says I must register my car within 10 days or I am breaking the law Does that mean the DMV sends out those armed guards and they arrest me and charge me with a felony or something? Will I end up in the Florida Justice system, shuffled back and forth like I was a…a…DMV convict?

So, like Joseph K in Franz Kafka’s masterpiece, ‘The Trial,’ I wander through the state of Florida, guilty of the serious crime of not registering my car…WHEN THEY WON’T LET ME!

I shuffle through lines of people, I meander through websites that have no meaning, I am helpless as the state of Florida plays me, DMV against its own website. And there doesn’t seem to be a solution.

And, the truth is that I have dealt with the California DMV, and it is the same! And I will bet that 100% of the people reading this short missive have similar experiences. No matter who you are, no matter what state you are in, the Dumb Mother Vuckers snicker and talk slowly and shuffle you along, an endless line of that most dreaded of all commodities…’people.’

And it doesn’t bother them that they are near sighted blockheads shuffling papers and slow talking so that you will comply. That they are brainless idiots who preach a catechism that makes no sense, is arbitrary and conflicting. Because they are…guvmint jerkers.

It doesn’t bother them because stupid, by virtue of being stupid, is unable to quantify itself and therefore understand that they are stupid.
