January 8 marks the second anniversary of Iran’s missile strike on American forces based in Iraq

Iran: Missile types used in Soleimani retaliation attack on Ayn Al Asad Air Base exhibited

Missiles were displayed in Tehran on Friday, coinciding with the second anniversary of the Ayn Al Asad Air Base missile attack in Iraq, which took place on January 8, 2020.

The attack on the Al Asad Air Base, where US forces were stationed, was conducted in retaliation for the killing of Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps’ (IRGC) Quds Force commander Qasem Soleimani, under the order of the then-US president Donald Trump.

“The most important message that all our enemies received after this missile attack, which the Supreme Leader also called it a day of God, is that they were assured that if they attack, if they violate, if they made a mistake, they will receive its response strongly, on time and in the shortest possible time,” explained IRGCs Muhammad Rasulallah Division Chief Hassan Hassanzadeh.

The missiles displayed included the Zolfaghar, Dezful and Qiam types, used in the attack on the base.
