Why the need to drive – are monkeys being transported, if so where?

Remember the news about the truck carrying 100 lab monkeys in Danville, Pennsylvania, that crashed and 3 or 4 monkeys ran loose causing citizens to panic.  These monkeys were shot dead by the Pennsylvania State Police.  (See article.)

There is a job posted on the Texas Bio Medical Research Center website seeking monkey caretakers with a driver’s license.  (See below .)

The job ad is seeking monkey caretakers to take care of monkeys in a lab in the United States.

The job ad is currently active.  No experience is required, except the applicant must be able to take orders and have a valid driver’s license. 

The only education requirement is that the applicants have a high school degree.

The job hazards are innumerable.

The caretaker will not only be  exposed to the monkeys, but will be exposed to the diseases they may have such as Simian Retrovirus, Herpes, HIV, Hepatitis, and other such diseases; as they clean-up and take care of the monkeys.

The job ad does not state how much money the monkey caretakers will be paid.

However, many social media sources have banned the information and removed the links to these articles; while banning us from further posting of any news.

You probably have not heard about labs hiring monkey animal caretakers, other than directly on the Texas Bio Medical Research Center website.  It appears the media has deemed it not news worthy.

This story is very shocking and we do not condone any animal abuse; especially injecting HIV, Ebola, or any other disease into any animals.
