Battle for #Kherson: Situation in the Andreevka Sector at 16:45 on 15 Sep 2022⚡️

▪️ After several unsuccessful attempts to break through the Russian Forces’ defences “head-on”, the Ukrainian command has switched to tactics involving small sabotage groups with artillery support.

▪️ Logistics links between the AFU and Sukhoy Stavok have been restored due to a reduction in the RF Armed Forces’ “gutting” of fire. Ammunition and equipment are being actively moved to the vicinity of the settlement.

▪️ An additional platoon of the AFU’s 46th Army has arrived in the #Belogorka area with ATGMs in service. The reconnaissance groups of the 46th Brigade are busy exploring weak points in the defences of the Russian Forces in the direction of #Kostromka and #Bruskinskoye.

One of these group was able to reach #Charivnoye in the #Kherson region almost unhindered by a cross-country vehicle. In addition, AFU assault troops are trying to break through the defences of Davydov Brod by attacking in small groups from the rear.

Ukrainian troops are currently actively replenishing the grouping. The main task of the AFU on this front line is to break through the defensive positions of the Russian Forces and advance further towards #Berislav, in order to subsequently encircle the Russian units at the Krivoy Rog front section.

Battle for #Kherson: Situation in the #Olgino Section at 17:15 on Sep 2022⚡️

▪️ Ukrainian commanders with a company of 128th Brigade and a tank platoon of 17th Brigade attempted to storm Russian  Forces´ positions from the #Potemkino area towards #Kostyrka and #Novopetrovka.

▪️ Russian airborne troops holding the defences at this point, supported by artillery and MLRS, deterred the Ukrainian militants.

▪️ The AFU assault troops suffered significant losses and retreated to their initial positions.

YURI: Strikes on Dams on the #Ingulets River⚡️

a harbinger of an offensive, but whose offensive?

Russian commanders today struck a dam on the I#ngulets River near #Iskrovka (2), which is located upstream of the #Karachun reservoir (1), which had been hit the previous day and had already caused flooding downstream. As a result, the dam received two breaches and new portions of water rushed downstream. Which leads me to some thoughts.

By destroying the cascade of dams on the #Ingulets River the Russian command is solving several tasks at once.

The first and obvious task is to create a problem for the AFU grouping at the #Andreevka bridgehead (3) in order to destroy it and put an end to this story once and for all.

Objective two, not yet obvious. By regulating the flow of water on the #Ingulets river, Kiev could, as it actually did to ensure its offensive on #Kherson, artificially reduce it, thereby putting its advancing groups there in better conditions.

But in the event of a Russian offensive to the north, this cascade of dams could be used to dump water and flood the area, thereby cutting off the advancing grouping from supplies, as was done this spring on the #Irpen river near Kiev.

And hence, if the Russian command plans to advance further north to #Nikolaev or Krivoy Rog, it is simply obliged to knock this handy tool out of the enemy’s hands.

Slavyansk-Barvenkovo Direction: Situation at 14:00 on 15 Sep 2022⚡️

▪️ The Ukrainian command continues its offensive in certain parts of the front. Some of the units deployed there are being transferred from the #Kharkov region to reinforce the troop grouping.

▪️ The pioneer troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were able to establish several crossings over the #Oskol River, which are being used by Ukrainian DRGs to penetrate the territory controlled by the Russian Federation.

▪️ According to unconfirmed reports, Russian forces have left #Studenok to avoid being encircled from the #Oskol.

▪️ In addition, soldiers of the 54th AFU Brigade were able to push Russian units out of #Sosnovoye. Currently, the engineer and sapper forces of the 54th Brigade are building strongholds in the settlement before pushing deeper into the defences of the Russian forces.

▪️ Fighting continues in the vicinity of #Lyman and #Yampol. The situation in the settlements is relatively calm. The advancing enemy units are being actively shelled with artillery.

💥 Massive fire attacks have resulted in causing casualties of up to 500 servicemen and over 40 units of military equipment of 24th and 28th AFU mechanised brigades near Krasnoye Znamya and Novogrigorovka (Nikolayev region), as well as of 46th Airmobile Brigade of the AFU near Sukhoy Stavok and Belogorka (Kherson region).
 
💥 Within unsuccessful operation of 10th Mountain Assault Brigade of the AFU near Spornoye (Donetsk People’s Republic), the formation has lost over 80 Ukrainian servicemen dead, 8 armoured vehicles and 5 pickups.
 
💥 Operational-tactical and army aviation, missile troops and artillery have neutralised 7 AFU command posts near Dobropolye, Artyomovsk (Donetsk People’s Republic), Kamyshevakha (Zaporozhye region), Olgino (Kherson region), Kalinovka, Murakhovka, Novorossiyskoye (Nikolayev region), as well as 42 artillery units, 116 AFU manpower and military equipment concentration areas.
 
💥 5 missile, artillery and munitions depots have been destroyed near Prikolotnoye, Izyum (Kharkov region), Krasnoye, Seversk and Novogrigorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).
 
💥 Air defence facilities have shot down 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Snigiryovka and Ternoviye Pody (Nikolayev region), Zemlyanki, Kamenka, Novopetrikovka, Kirillovka, Nikolayevka, Staromlinovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Maksima Gorkogo, Pyatikhatki and Chkalovo (Kherson region), as well as near Smeloye (Zaporozhye region).
 
◽️ Moreover, 2 Tochka-U ballistic missiles have been destroyed in air near Perevalsk (Lugansk People’s Republic) and Donetsk, as well as 30 HIMARS and Olkha MRLS projectiles near Kakhovka hydroelectric plant, Kherson city and Trudovoye (Zaporozhye region).
 
📊 In total, 293 airplanes and 155 helicopters, 1,960 unmanned aerial vehicles, 374 air defence missile systems, 4,934 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 835 combat vehicles equipped with MRLS, 3,387 field artillery cannons and mortars, as well as 5,602 units of special military equipment have been destroyed during the special military operation.
 

YURI about the Situation at 12:00 on 15 Sep 2022 – the Calm before the Storm⚡️

So, for the third day now there is in fact an operational pause on the Ukrainian war fronts. The AFU’s attempted offensive on #Oskol and #Lyman is gradually fading, the Wagner PMC continue their offensive south of #Bakhmut and on #Soledar.

In the South, where major developments are to be expected, the enemy conducted a reconnaissance battle in the #Zaporozhye direction. Usually after this earlier the AFU started to advance on the second day, i.e. in our case it is tomorrow.

In the #Kherson direction, due to a water spill in the floodplain of the #Ingulets river, after the Russian air force hit the dam of the Karachun reservoir, the AFU has fallen on hard times. Obviously, any offensive with strategic objectives in such a situation north of #Snigirovka is doomed to failure, and it is difficult to hit #Kherson head-on given the way the Russian Armed Forces army has fortified (although in the social networks the CYPSO bots have already taken #Kiselevka for the second time). Besides, the river spill gives our units a unique chance to finish off the Andriyivsky bridgehead in order to close the issue of the AFU offensive in this area once and for all.

Besides, time is playing against #Kiev, which needs to hurry before Moscow finishes regrouping its forces, based on the new reality after #Balakleya – #Izyum. Therefore, I can only welcome every day of calm in the south (except for the #Andreevska bridgehead).
 

The results of combat operations and the situation on the fronts by the morning of 15 September⚔️

The Ukrainian Armed Forces carry out actions on the Russian-Ukrainian border: shelling residential settlements in Kursk and Belgorod regions.

▫️ There are no changes on the line of contact in the Kupyansk-Izyum direction. The Russian Armed Forces are strengthening their defenses and regrouping their forces. The Russian Armed Forces are sending sabotage and reconnaissance groups behind Oskol.

▫️The Liman direction is being defended by Liman and Yampol, the situation has stabilized with the supply of reserve units of the RF Armed Forces.  Sviatogorsk has been taken under control by AFU units: fighting is taking place near Yarovaya and in the forests towards Aleksandrovka.

▫️ In the Bakhmut-Sole Darya direction, the AFU is again advancing on Belogorovka, fighting is going on, and the settlement itself is in the grey zone. Ukrainian troops are planning an offensive on Zolotaryivka and the Lisichansk refinery. Urban fighting continues in the urban areas of Bakhmut and Soledar. Wagner PMC forces are advancing on Zaitsevo to cover Bakhmut from the south.

▫️ Positional fighting in the area of Pervomayskoye continues in the Donetsk direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are moving additional forces to Avdiivka to strengthen the defense and a possible counteroffensive.

The Ukrainian armed forces attempted to attack Russian positions near Nesteriyanka in the Ugledar-Zaporizhzhya direction. The Russian Armed Forces repulsed the attack by destroying a BMP and a T-72 tank and capturing prisoners. Additional forces continue to be deployed to Ugledar.

Position battles are taking place along the entire contact line in the Nikolaevsk-Krivorozhsk direction. Ukrainian troops are moving additional units to Arkhangelsk and Vysokopolye to develop the offensive in this area.
The dam of the Karachunovskoye reservoir has caused the water level in the Ingulets river to rise, complicating the delivery of Ukrainian reinforcements to the Andriyivsky bridgehead. Several sources report that the crossings are completely out of action.

As Slavyangrad previously reported Russian Allied Forces took Mayorsk, on their way to Bakhmut, further finishing their encirclement of the Ukrainian stronghold. Strategic heights around Bakhmut were also seized by Wagner PMC.

It’s only a matter of time before Bakhmut falls, which will be a huge blow to Ukraine.

The same story goes for Avdeevka.

Many argue that Ukraine’s defense will collapse when Avdeevka and Bakhmut fall.

🔴 A new element has taken root in the Russian Armed Forces’ tactics, and that is hitting critical infrastructure. Rocket weapons (6 strikes) hit targets in Krivoy Rog, inter alia partially destroying a dam, which raised the water level in the Ingulets river and made it difficult for the Ukrainian troops to traverse it southwards. Part of Krivoy Rog was flooded.

—Missile strikes were also launched against enemy facilities in Zaporozhye, Kharkov, Nikolayev, and Odessa Oblast.

—Fighting continued in the Kherson theatre. Yesterday it became known that our artillery destroyed a column of enemy vehicles and equipment in the Vysokopolye sector.

—In the Kharkov theatre, the defence along the Oskol river is being organized. The Ukrainian army continues testing the front line along the river with saboteur-reconnaissance groups.

—From Energodar yesterday reports were received about the detention of of a Zaporozhye NPP employee who had been transmitting data to the Ukrainian forces for four months.

🔵 The Ukrainian army attempted to an amphibious assault on the Kinburn Spit from Ochakov, where the Ukrainian Special Forces Centre South (formerly known as the 73rd Centre for Naval Operations) is located. Even prior to the war, the centre was supplied by the US with aluminium boats carrying 12 men each. A Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter carrying a saboteur-reconnaissance group was shot down. This is not a new element of the Ukrainian tactics (similar operations, but of a more covert nature, had previously been carried out by the Special Operations Centre South to secure reconnaissance objective).

—Russian border territories were shelled by the Ukrainian armed forces: Mortars, snipers, and howitzer artillery were used.

—In Kerch, Crimea, the air defence system was engaged.

—In the Belgorod Oblast, schools in the Valuisky urban district in the 15km zone along the border have been switched to distance learning.

—Enemy forces are accumulating in the Zaporozhye theatre of the front.

—Air defences were triggered in Novaya Kakhovka (Kherson region), and explosions were reported in Kherson.

—Strikes continue on the DPR: 230 incoming shells and rockets were recorded during the day, wounding 5 adults and 4 children.

Soldiers and officers of not only the DNR army but also of the Russian Federation, often write. I can say that a turning point has begun to happen in the motivation of our entire army. If previously the most motivated were the Donbass units, then more and more motivation has begun to appear in the Russian Armed Forces.
